    Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

    The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

    Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

    For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

    Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

    OK I’m not really suggesting that this will give you every tone you may need but it is a very versatile Preset designed to be used in 8 Snapshot mode. The Snapshots include both acoustic and electric tones as follows: Snapshot 1: clean electric tone. Expression pedal 1 gives volume boost before the amp. Snapshot 2: break-up tone. Expression 1 gives gain boost, good for quick licks. Snapshot 3: Heavy Crunch tone with more gain via Expression pedal 1 Snapshot 4: Lead Tone, Expression 1 brings in 300ms delay by increasing mix Snapshot 5: Clean lush dual chorus + dual delay tone with big verb, quite ambient. Snapshot 6: Clean tone with dotted 8 dual delay, think intro to Shut up and Dance, U2 etc. Tempo controlled by tap tempo switch Snapshot 7: Acoustic 12 String, Expression 1 changes to 6 string acoustic with slight volume boost for acoustic noodlings Snapshot 8: Similar to Snapshot 4 but Expression 1 simultaneously brings in a Harmoniser (edit scales and intervals to suit) and mixes in a delay A wah wah can be engaged by the expression pedal toe switch, which simultaneously disengages the delay in the Lead patches 4 and 8. I think this is likely to suite a function or covers band guitarist who needs to quickly access a wide range of tone. All electric guitar tones use the Interstate Zed amp and a dual cab, plus added drives and effects. There are a great many Snapshot settings in this Preset and if editing be mindful that the drop downs in the signal chain are also controlled by Snapshot settings which change the mix to paths A and B.
