Model Packs increase the number of Amp or FX Models of a GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt, PODxt Live or PODxt Pro, for a wider variety of tone possibilities. When a particular tone in the library relies on a Model available in one of these packs, you'll see symbol(s) to indicate which Packs: MS (Metal Shop), CC (Classics Collection), FX (FX Junkie), and PP (Power Pack).

The models within the FX Junkie Model Pack are already included in PODxt Live, and offered for purchase to add-on to GuitarPort, TonePort, PODxt and PODxt Pro.

Variax is the uniquely flexibile guitar from Line 6. Our Vetta II amplifier includes a digital connection for the Variax that lets you store settings for both your amp and your guitar in the Vetta II so that when you call up a Vetta Channel Memory your amp and guitar can change sounds together. Vetta II Tones marked with this guitar symbol include this Variax data.

For each tone in the library, you'll see an icon for either a single coil or humbucker pickup. This tells you whether the tone is best for use with a single coil pickup or a humbucker, so you can select the appropriate pickup on your guitar when using this tone.

Attention POD 2.0, Flextone and HD147 owners... Your hardware doesn't do Stomp effects, so you'll hear something different than what was intended. Try increasing the Drive or choose a higher gain Amp Model to get the right sound. The other aspects of the sound should translate as expected, so you'll at least get a great starting place for tweaking.

Here's the basic idea of the patch I was running for the Upsides/Suburbia Anniversary shows. I wanted to set up something similar to what my pedalboard was pre-Helix. I was running an Ownhammer IR(OH CTB MR82+Recto), but I wanted to upload something people would immediately be able to use. I tried to approximate that IR with the built in cabs/eq. I also ran an external MIDI switch to engage the tuner immediately as well as engage the adriatic delay for oscillating spaceship sounds so I had to modify that a bit. Added a legacy room at the end because it felt a little too sterile on the tour and it adds a very slight stereo width at home through my monitors. **A basic rundown of some of the effects:** |Poly Capo - Just a fat octave down if I want something thiccc. More of a later record thing.| |Industrial Fuzz - Patch really only sounds right with the MOSH engaged. Gated, slightly velcro-y fuzz. Used on my lead in the bridge of Brakeless. TEXTURE.| |"Mode 7" - A plateau reverb intended to be like Mode 7 on a Boss PS-3. A pitch shifting delay kinda like Eventide's crystals or Strymon's ice delay. It doesn't really do it but you kinda get the octave-y sparkle when playing chords a la the band Cave In. Please, Line 6, put an ice delay/crystals/whatever. Shimmer reverbs and the inconsistent glitch delay don't do it.| |HOLD - Bumps the repeats up on the Elephant Man similar to holding the tap tempo on a Strymon. Fun to just play fast picking into this as a build/transition.| |MUFF - This really only sounds right with MOSH engaged. Also bumps the volume up on the cab block as it kinda overloads the amp and sounds a little quieter.| |MOSH - A clean/dirty switch. Just switches the gain on the amp.| |Adriatic Delay - Not on one of the standard footswitches. Bypass is on the toe switch. This also switches the exp pedal to control the time so you can make silly spaceship sounds with your foot. Can't run the feedback as high as I'd like because it sustains forever even when bypassed. With the MIDI switch, I'm able to set a controller to switch the feedback back and forth between settings as well.| *Enjoy!*
