  1. So, when you are playing live you are hearing both the DT25 and the PA right? When you are playing back the recording the DT25 is silent and you hear only the PA. Is this correct?
  2. My friend, that is my definition of digital modeled guitar sound! Very nice trolling about this at a line6 forum  :D

  4. I just use the normalize function on my DAW to bring the level up to "normal" 0Db. No big deal ;)
  5. Very glad It worked ;) I won't be using it because it takes to much channels and aux-sends... OOOhhhh how I wish Line6 would release an M40d  :D
  6. Yes. I never tried that. But it should work that way. Leave the monitor mode in "unlinked" (equivalent to pre-fader). so you can mix the compressed buss differently from the main drum channel. Maybe not so much cymbals on the compressor? ;) Than raise the "normal" drums near the desired level of performance and start to bring the compressed drum buss up slowly. Be careful. Don't overdue it with the compressed bus. The drums should start to sound really full and punchy, but they will take a lot of space in the mix. And there's always the risk of ruining dynamics. Also consider that heavily compressed mics on stage will feedback super easily. This technique is very well known in studio mixing. Some people call it "The fat fader" http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jwdbUUac8uw
  7. How to use that? Get the drums in a stereo monitor send and put them back on channels 13-14 with that preset? This would be a very similar to the well known parallel drum compression widely used in studios... If it works it must sound nice and punchy. But it would take a lot of the boards connectivity... Two monitor sends and to line-ins extra just for the drums...
  8. I use my android phone for my backing tracks. I've created stereo mp3 files with a mono backing track on the right channel and the click track on the left channel. So I can get the backing track on the PA and the click track (that also has some cues) to the drummer's headphones. But are you guys playing live with backing tracks without click track? Never tried it, didn't believe it could work...
  9. I've just tested it. I don't have that problem. Try re installing the firmware. And while you're at it download a new file just in case the one you have is corrupted.
