This can't be good. I finally got it to work but I'm afraid it's probably not going to be reliable much longer. Too bad, I have come to REALLY rely on this thing. Any thoughts or advice?

Do you have pod farm installed? If not, you'll need to... Click "file" then choose "preferences", click the "hardware" tab. Next, click "tone direct settings". From here, choose the "inputs & recording tab. From here you can choose between the mic and line inputs. That should do it!

I use my UX-8 as my main soundcard even when I'm not recording.. Is there anyway to assign the main output to output 3-4? Without using the DAW? Sorry if this has been covered before... Thank you for your positive answers!

To recap.. Took it apart and cleaned it and.. It works! At least now I have a working knowledge of how the bridge assembly works and how to replace a saddle. Looks pretty simple and straight-forward, thanks for the help!

Hello all! Of course we never visit until we have a problem, eh? I'll start by saying that I have a JTV59 which I love and is my main gigging instrument. It replaced my Variax 500 which I used for over ten years... So.. I've been using this guitar for about a year and a half and tonight... I lost all dsp signal from the G string. I'm severely bummed! I literally cannot perform without this guitar! My whole show revolves around it... What the heck am I going to do?

I just wasn't digging deep enough in my DAW. Case of operator error... Thank you.

I bought a Ux8 and I thought it was supposed to come with a special version of Gearbox that can be used as plugins? Am I missing something?

So.... Jumping into this topic.. It does seem like Line6 puts a lot more effort into developing and marketing new products than supporting old. Add to that their announcement that they would no longer offer technical support for "legacy" gear after the first of the year... I think one or two too many beers have been spilt into my Variax 500's footswitch... I would love to buy a repalcdement but.... No joy. I suppose I could just get an inline A/B switch and buy stock in Duracell batteries but I sure would like to just buy a replacement. Line6 has not been much help. They would really like to sell me a new guitar though...

I always wanted one and now I see not only have they been discontinued and are very difficult to find? Was there a problem with the model? Were they just not successful? I played one once about ten years ago... It seemed like a nice guitar... Anyone have one they want to get rid of?
