  1. So ive owned my UX2 since 2013 and ive enjoyed its use. Ive never really dabbled in getting the extra model packs and use the custom tone on the site a lot. Ive upgraded to window 11 this year (i know i know!) on a 4core cpu(4ghz OC) , 16gb Ram and it works. I use studio one regulaly. I can use youtube and and play with on the same monitor speakers and jam etc.. Its a good unit ive always known its a bit on the mediocre side when it comes to power But it works.. Now.. recently when i play even with a clean sound im noticing the most horrific background noise. Now ive looked after this thing and its had several brand new cables. newest one recently to rule out it wasnt that. Ive switched out new guitar cables and checked my speakers for noise. Its Just pod farm producin the sound. Now ive also notived when ive left pc alone for 5mins, screen saver comes on and almighty pop happens and back ground noise either Gets really bad (have to restart) or it literally goes to a minimal amount and i can barely hear it.. But its still there.. Its hella annoying and im searching everywhere for answers but after using it pretty fine for 10+ years this year its been so bad for recording for me. Ive not managed to barely get anything down without noticing the noise.. Is this still the same issue a lot of people have been getting.. Ive been getting the new license driver updater thing and all that stuff today and im upto date as far as i can tell.. The hiss remains.. I wish they just overhaul this driver situation and actually fix it finally.. I mean its either they won, cant or its just a marketing tactic to make me upgrade which is what im starting to think. Ive never said a bad word about line 6 as they have got me places (into using the ux2 to get into university!). I'm really hoping something happens soon or im gonna have to upgrade this unit because its become almost unusable with the static.. The most annoying thing is im trying to record some cleans with some strymon type reverb effects and the note plays and u can just hear static all the way through the notes. it sucks and it sounds terrible.. Please someone advise or make some better drivers for this thing. its such a shame coz it has such a love hate reputation. Good for some, and other wouldnt touch one again. I like mine thats why i dont want to give it up. its been the easiest pick up guitar and off we go unit ive ever used.
  2. Im a buffoon and an idiot. The knob is not the button. It appears the thing that actually says 'View' is the Button!! 'knobhead' award goes to me! ok, Now it works and it sounds ace!
  3. Ive just updated my Firmare also on my POD HD500x and Totally lost the function of the View button on the Pedal cal. I cannot even get into the menu, How do I revert back to older firmware, i feel i've just bricked my new unit. Had it literally an hour. and already its not working :( Everything seems to work but the expression pedal, one of the main reason i bought the unit in the first place. Oh dear, doesnt bode well does it...
  4. I'm having some major issues with regards to Sample rates of my UX2, after Windows put out there large update a couple of months ago, ive barely touched it due to the fact it just won't work properly. My computer doesnt Recognise the Ux2 sample rate of 24bit instead its stuck at 16bit, and obviously im wanting 24bit. Bearing in mind I've been using my UX2 flawlessly for over 3 years and never had a problem with in cubase 8.. Now i cant get it to work in cubase 8, cant get my guitar to make an noise via PodFarm 2.5.. I, my friend, am tech savvy and pretty this is Line 6's pure laziness on the matter and phasing out older hardware. They're just not bothering to update the drivers. I was going to buy a Pod HD Pro X around december but im not even gonna bother now (I think kemper is better anyway!!), after this load of rubbish and slack customer support! A rather large Waste of money and time, Nothing but hassle and to be honest im pretty shocked at the amount of consumer response over this issue and line 6 have hardly replied with a solution. All im reading IF they even reply, is excuses and that it must be your set up. Im a Legit music producer and this my friends is load of crap.. I'd be very weary of buying any more of there gear if this is the way they deal with the driver situation.. Every other company has a fix, a solution or at least a Decent excuse.. Get with the program Line 6... Fix your Drivers, please.. Dont say i spent £200 for nothing.. :( P.s still love you really line 6, just stop making us so angry and fix your drivers fgs!
