    Big Sur

I don't think this really has anything to do with the size of the company. This is 2021, not 1990 when computers just came out. This should be an essential piece of their business and should not be a lengthy process to do software testing and bug fixes for new major software releases. I know from experience they can contract this out for a small fee and it should not take more than a few weeks. I am guessing at least 1/2 of their thousands of Helix custmers have Mac. I love line6 and have spent a lot of money on their technology and have recommended them to several others in the industry(many who where hesitant at first). A little communication from line6 would be nice. To me this sounds like a major issue with management at Line6.

Pro Tool works just fine with Big Sur. So do the other 50 apps/software I have running on Big Sur. Helix Please keep up!!!!
  3. You can have mine. After a week I have decided this is not for me. I am a big fan of the Helix and I was looking for something smaller that I didn't need to haul around. Thought this was it, but after playing with it for a week it is too small and not enough foot switches. Sure I could add an external pedal and foot switch, but now I need to break out my pedal board and I am back to something the size of the Helix and I need to worry about cables and power. Sounds great, but tough to similate the Helix. If you are a Helix user you probably won't enjoy this. If you have never used the Helix and you are more of a pedal board guy, which most people are, this is probably a great option. The perfect unit for me would be something more like the sizeof the Helix effects, with the power of the Helix.
  4. A little challenging to build and work with presets in HX stomp without HX edit. It can be done, but difficult, especially if you are used to HX edit.
  5. Maybe, but I already have the Helix and I am trying to get smaller. By the time I add an external foot switch and expression pedal, now I need a pedal board, and I am basically back to my Helix. I like the stomp, lots of power in a little box, the tones are great, and maybe I will figure out when to use it. For now the Helix is probably a better fit for home studio, guitar rig, gigging, etc..
  6. I just bought an HX stomp. After a few days I have decided it is pretty cool, but trying to figure out the practical use. for a year now I have used my Helix for gigging, studio, and band practice. I thought this could be used in place of Helix at band practice and maybe even gigging. But with only 3 foot switches not sure how I will pull this off. Anythoughts from the forum the best way to do this. In the Helix world I have several presets with a few snapshots each.
  7. A few weeks ago I installed the Helix driver 1.0.4 because I was having issues getting Helix to play through my DAW(Logic Pro X) at full Volume. Installing the driver did not fix it. ever since every time I turn off my floor Helix it causes My IMAC running OS Sierra to lock up. It requires a complete power off. Does anybody know what might be causing this? I did open a ticket with Line6 and after 1 week and 2 email responses I have not gotten anywhere(So far I am not impressed with Line 6 support)
  8. I Use Logic Pro X. I guess I thought it would be nice to play with my setup and not always need to open Logic. But it sounds like this might not be possible if I am understanding correctly. Also I feel with this setup from Helix to Logic to Apollo to my Monitors/Headphones it feels like their is a small delay. What would creating an aggregate device accomplish in my setup? Thanks
  9. Is it possible to select Line 6 Helix(connected with USB) as input on my MAC OS Sierra and use apollo twin(connected with Thunderbolt) as output on my MAC. My monitors and headphones are connected to my apollo and I want to keep it that way and use Helix as my Guitar AMP through my MAC. so basically play guitar using Helix connected via USB and hear it through my monitors connected to my apollo twin connected via thunderbolt.
  10. Sorry if this has been asked, I did search the forums and couldn't find anything. I have been playing guitar for 5+ years but new to the recording thing. I am trying to make a guitar video using helix and playing with a backing track. My set up is. Helix USB to MAC OS Sierra. External Monitors/headphones and guitar plugged into Helix. I have my mac system preferences for sound set to input and output - Line 6 Helix. Everything works good and sounds decent for the most part while playing. The issue is when I try and make a recording I am trying to use screenflow 7 to record a video of me playing while playing a backing track in itunes and guitar through the helix. Screenflow does not support recording from a USB device so this is not working. It will record Helix and my video but not the itunes backing track because it is being routing through Helix and not the internal microphone. What is a good set up to use to record a video of me playing(using MAC OS Sierra), Playing guitar through Helix and my monitors plugged into Helix, and a Itunes backing track at the same time. Is their a better way or a different program besides screenflow. I don't mind spending a little money if I need to but don't want to break the bank. I see tons of guitar video/covers online so their has to be an easy way to do this.
