  1. never-mind, i guess you have to set "don't force" tuning change per preset, but you can set "don't force" model change globally for all presets.
  2. I can't get variax don't force to work. When changing presets my JTV variax changes model and tuning if applicable. I have gone to settings and set to global, don't force on the model and don't force on the tuning. Is this a known bug with the latest release or am I doing something wrong Thanks,
  3. That's exactly what I did when I fixed the problem, much easier then getting all the ghost saddle ground wires to ground point.
  4. Thanks for steering me in the right direction Charlie. Ground wires on two of the saddles found their way loose. All is good. Sorry L6 I need a Snickers.
  5. I was previously using version 1.58 or something like that on an XP machine . So not sure if 1.75 on win7 had anything to do with it? just going through what was done differently then before.
  6. My Variax 600 is now absolutely useless for alt tunings. It would be nice if L6 would chime in other then saying bring it to a service center. My alt tunings have worked for years and I just recently made some changes in Workbench (updated version on win7 machine) and poof it's all messed up. Even if I drop just the low E to D, all the other strings are playing two notes. Sabotage? To bad because this thing sounds great with the Ghost saddles I put on a few years ago. Hopefully help is on it's way?
  7. I use windows magnifier ( windows key & + to make bigger, windows key & - to make smaller) I set the increment to 25% to make the whole screen bigger. Works for me and I can't see for crap without it.
  8. So I already had a 3 way aux footswitch I made for an Eventide stompbox. So I made a 1/4 mono cable with the 10k resistor across tip and ring at one plug end. Works just need to reverse min/max settings in HD edit. Not exactly like VB-2 but close enough. Thanks again all :)
  9. OK I don't have the switch yet but did have a 10k resistor and 1/4" jack. I wired with resistor between tip and ring. When I touch the two leads together closed I get 0 ohms and have min range set 0% modulation, when I untouch the two leads I get 10k ohms and have max range set to 50% modulation. So SPST will work and of course SPDT will too. So first off let me say thanks to Mr. X for the idea to begin with. Although I am still messing with settings (like rise) to get that true rise and fall that VB-2 gives. I don't really notice much difference in the rise settings through the whole sweep of the knob. The other problem is when 0 ohms is present there is no fall it is just off. Anyways, thanks guys and whoever sends me the switch first wins :) I'll let you know how it goes when totally completed.
  10. Mr X that sounds interesting, Trying to wrap my head around what the schematic would look like, any thoughts? Thanks,
  11. Yes I thought about using the expression pedal, but not the same feel as using footswitch to momentarily turn effect on while it rises up to full speed setting. I could press the switch twice but still not the same feel as a VB-2. Thought maybe with a software change they could make the behavior of a footswitch to be either latching or non-latching. Thanks for the input guys.
  12. Is it possible to set say FS1 to be un-latching. It would be nice, especially for the pitch vibrato effect. You could step on FS1 and have the rise parameter setup to gradually change pitch. Release footswitch and have it gradually come back down to normal pitch. This how the Boss VB-2 worked. Thanks,
