Thanks RRMark.

Hi CBTL, Just wouldn't have the time to do this. Also, I don't know which song/artist a lot of the patches represent. That's why I was hoping a list was out there already. Vic

Was looking thru the factory presets the other day. Notice some that were recognizable to me, for example, Uncle Floyd or PhD May. Many were not recognizable to me since they are a little cryptic. Is there a list of all of the factory presets and the songs that they are associated with? I looked on the Line 6 site and couldn't find any list other then the one in the owner's manual which tells which amps are which. Thanks. Vic

I use the editor, but unfortunately it's not very user friendly when it comes to easily moving presets around or deleting.

I would like to be able to rearrange my presets in a much easier fashion, similiar to the functions on a computer. Move enmasse, delete single or many presets at once. Just be able to easier move presets around.

Thanks JazzInc. I will give them a listen. Thanks for sharing. Vic

Thanks all. That's what I thought. Sure would be nice to be able to save several versions.

I have looked in the manual and can find no reference to saving the global eq. Can it be saved? I suspect not, but thought I would ask. Thanks. Vic

I have had that same thing happen a couple of times.

Kind of a round about way that I won't have thought of, but that will do it. Thanks Duncann!

I know this has got to be simple, but just can't see how to delete a preset either in the Helix app or on the Helix itself. Thanks. Vic

Thanks all for the responses. I am going to give the ideas a try.

Maybe that's the way to go. Thanks Rick.

Is there any way to set a Global Gate which will apply to all patches? Thanks for you help. Vic

Phil. Thanks for the response. That what I thought, but I was hoping that I had missed something. Vic

Hi All, Is there any way to have eight presets show on the main screen and then have snapshots show after stomping on the Mode footswitfch? I've looked and experimented and even read parts of the new manual, but can't get it to happen. Any help is appreciated. Thanks. Vic

How Do You Prefer to Control the Volume in Your Patches?

Thanks Phil. Do you think that it matters whether you put the volume pedal first thing in the patch as opposed to last or somewhere else? -
How Do You Prefer to Control the Volume in Your Patches?

Thank you for your responses. I really appreciate them. Have to give it a try. -
I am beginning to get into programming patches on the Helix. I am curious how others control the volume on their patches. I see advantages and disadvantages to expression pedal vs volume control within the patch itself. From what I can see if you don't control volume within the patch then some will be quieter and others much noisier but can be controlled by the volume pedal. You can certainly see instances of this in the factory patches where you switch from one to the other and get blasted out. But, of course, you can quiet it down, after you've been blasted by using the exp pedal. If you control the volume within the patch then you lose the ability to control the volume if you wish to turn it up or down, but you get come consistency when you switch from one to the other, but don't have the ability to change it with the pedal. Can you share how you control the volume as you build a patch and why you prefer the way you do it? Thanks. Vic
