  1. You need to be careful with the new Firefox browser. For some file types the download window now has several options to select including the option to open the file which is the default. See the attachment. Be sure you select download and not open as your choice. You can also specify that as your default. Caught me by surprise more than once. DaveJ
  2. I'm a new HELIX user. Reading the forums I saw where some were commenting on the volume pedal being inconsistent when switching presets. Turns out a parameter setting can fix this. In the Global settings for Footswitches, change the expression pedal setting from preset to global. Thanks to YouTuber Ben Vesco for the tip. DaveJ ADDENDUM: Just want to add that where you find these parameters will depend on what firmware version you have. Right now my new unit from Sweetwater is on 2.30.0. For that version Exp 2 is volume. It may be different on 2.92.0 or other versions. Also, I found that it will matter how the preset is configured. I found several default presets that DO NOT have a volume pedal. You can rock that pedal all you want. It won't make a difference. DaveJ
  3. The manual says to use the Left/Mono output for mono applications. Does anyone know if the Firehawk FX 'senses' that the mono output is being used and thus sums both channels to this one output connection?

    Helix in Mono

The manual says to use the Left/Mono output for mono applications. Does anyone know if the Helix 'senses' that the mono output is being used and thus sums both channels to this one output connection?
  5. I just receive my new Helix from Sweetwater and had a similar problem. When switching presets, the output audio would cut out. Input seems to be ok as I can see the icon on the screen flashing. By output I am monitoring headphones and USB 1/2. It happens if I am using the foot switches or scrolling using the Preset knob. Have written to Sweetwater to see what they suggest for a remedy. Have not registered w/Line 6. Waiting so see what develops. Shouldn't be a heat problem. I would say it was on less than an hour. Maybe a 2.92 bug? There are several Helix users on YouTube. Haven't heard any of them complaining. I have had several Line 6 products starting with the DuoVerb so I am a fan. From my experience they seem to be pretty good with support. We'll see. DaveJ46
