  1. Thanks, that helps. I was hoping to allow the new pedal to operate on any patch, but doing it one by one is okay. My 6'8" 270lb body bent the built in pedal pretty bad.
  2. Please help, I have a Helix LT and bent the built-in pedal. I purchased the Mission Engineering EP1-L6 and saw on another post that instructs to plug into the EXP1 port. I don't have a EXP1 port! When I plug in and use the pedal, its only functioning as a volume pedal. I went into HX Edit and right clicked the "position" where I can select EXP Pedal 1 and EXP Pedal 2. Pedal 2 shows Volume, I can see EXP Pedal 1 shows (Pitch wham: Position) EXP Pedal 2 now shows (Multiple 2) but when I adjust the pedal it's still a volume pedal. I am able to get Wah with EXP Pedal 2, but it seems to be a combo of Volume and Wah. Heel position is zero volume The Volume isn't selected. Screen shot attached. I don't see an easy way to make the pedal operate as the pedal 2 Wah. Please help! Thanks in advance. Ron
  3. updater wasn't open. I went ahead and re-booted. Didn't have to do that last time I updated, but it works now and shows the 3.11
  4. It's a PC. My HX Edit is showing 3.11, the LT is 3.11, but now when I plug the Helix in via USB it's "No Device Connected" I've turned the LT off/on and unplugged the USB and re-plugged, and restarted the Edit, but nothing.
  5. Datacommando, Waymda, PierM, Guys, I'm a retired guy that loves my Helix. I was sitting on 3.00 for a long time and decided to update the HX Edit. The FIRST thing I did was back up my files. Next was to update the Line 6 Updater which I did. The next thing I did was use that to update each step. I had read "Any chance you've already updated HX Edit to 3.01 (released on Feb 2, 2021) or 3.10 (released on April 15, 2021)? If so, just connect Helix/HX to your computer via USB and launch HX Edit." (not where I was) But Since I was on 3.00 and not 3.01 I figured I had to do it manually which I did. I went to the updater to update my HX Edit from 3.00 to 3.01. Then from 3.01 to 3.10, Then from 3.10 to 3.11. SO, before you say that I didn't update my HX Edit, I DID update my HX Edit! So I don't appreciate you guys who obviously live in these forums where I haven't even visited in over 2 years saying crap like "”For the love of God, don’t post another thread about it or ask it again!” and "Oh man, we don't need to watch Interstellar to travel back and forth in time..." I did frikin' update my HX Edit. and made sure to wait to be sure all of the presets loaded and it rebooted before going to the next step. So don't assume people don't read the info on the updates. I'll be sure to stay away from the forums in the future. in2bluz

  7. Hello Helix Forum, I just updated my Helix LT from 3.01 to 3.11. I performed the backup, did the upgrade and reset factory settings before adding my backup back on. But I don't see the new amp Mandarin Rocker Or "Ratatouille Dist" distortion, the Euclidean Delay, Retro Reel Modulation. and the others listed here: https://line6.com/support/page/kb/effects-controllers/helix/helix-310311-release-notes-r969/ What am I doing wrong? Please help, Thanks In2bluz
  8. I had set the computer up to utilize the Audioquest Dragonfly as the default playback device and it has been for a couple of years. But when I plug the Helix in it takes over and goes from my stereo speakers to the FRFR speakers I use with Helix. I didn't tell it to take control. Just a few minutes ago I was looking at the "Global Settings" in the Helix manual. I may have found where to control this. the intention is to jam along with itunes etc. but that's not how i want to run mine. if when I get home tonight and change those settings I'll post that this thread.
  9. I've got my Helix LT connected via the USB port into my pc. usually when I have music playing it goes via my Audioquest Dragonfly DAC to my stereo speakers and all computer sounds/audio/video like Youtube Facebook etc would go through the stereo. But when I hook up the Helix via the USB port it re-directs all of my music and everything else through my Helix into my FRFR Speakers which could be set much louder (guitar volume) than I had my Stereo set for. Has anyone else experienced this? and if so, how can I stop all audio from bypassing my stereo and going through my FRFR's? I will say i'm going through Windows 10 (not a fan). when I had Win7 the audio output controls were much easier to find and control

  11. I'm with you, the 2061X is amazing. I'll just go back and forth. when I want fairly simple effects like reverb, add'l distortion and compression go through the Marshall, but when I want different amp and cabs and all the bells and whistles go through the TS210. I think life will be good living in both worlds. Thanks guys!
  12. Cool set up, sounds great.. my only question is my Plexi doesn't have an effect loop.. no return. Can a 4 cable set up still apply?
  13. Can I take the Helix and go out of the Marshall Plexi AND the FRFR speakers at the same time? Or is it an either or scenario? I'm planning to pick up the Alto TS210's.
  14. I'm looking for low cost FRFR's to use with my Helix LT in my basement studio, has as anyone used the Behringer CE500A's ?
  15. Iknowathingortwo, you nailed it. I can never part with my Marshall, I just want to experience the amp modeling when I want it. The Marshall will still benefit from many of the effects in my Helix. I would love the Stagesource speaker, but don't need the power and don't want the bulk. Ideally I would like 2 smaller XLR connecting FRFR speakers in stereo. Looking at the Behringer CE500A. Seem like a decent home studio set up to allow me to enjoy the Helix and my Marshall. I will be selling my Fender Hot Rod Deluxe and Boss ME-80, TS808 and some other stomp boxes to simplify my system. Thanks guys!!
  16. I can see myself going back and forth between using the Helix through a FRFR PA speaker(s) and playing through the Marshall. when I want to get the sounds of other amps, the PA speakers, if I just want some effects I can run it through the Marshall. I can't part with this Plexi, when matched with my Les Paul it's got the Gary Moore sound that I love. Thanks for the tip, maybe a used one from GC is the way to go.
  17. I can still benefit from the other features of the Helix, just not get the full effect of the Amps that it has. most of these FRFR speakers seem to be overkill for what I'm looking for. (home use) The line 6 are expensive and others seem 200-1000 Watts. It would be nice to have a 50w Stereo 2x10's or 2x12's, for about $200. Thanks for your feedback. I Just did some searching. I think something like a pair of these Behringer CE500A speakers would work. http://www.guitarcenter.com/Behringer/CE500A-Compact-Powered-Speaker-Black-1274115050126.gc?gclid=Cj0KEQjw2-bHBRDEh6qk5b6yqKIBEiQAFUz29gMLUMjffgjAvYeO2CiOvS2bH_UOOX2-B3q_1jjirtkaAuLC8P8HAQ&kwid=146697560682x23028493722x327660762 Any add'l feedback on still using my Marshall is appreciated
  18. Thanks for the advice. I probably should have noted that there isn't an effects loop, nor can I choose between power amp and preamp. I'm ok with the speaker nuances but since the Helix has so many amp choices I want to mute the Marshall sound. I guess the only real thing I've thought of is turning it down to about 2-3 so the Marshall distortion doesn't kick in. Link to the amp head:https://marshallamps.com/products/amplifiers/handwired-series/2061x/ I still don't know how it could sound like a VOX or Fender amp when it's going through a Marshall. going through a PA I get. Who else is going through a tube amp without an effects loop? what do you do??
  19. I just got the Helix LT. I'm running this through a Marshall 2061x "Handwired" and matching 2x12 cab. this is a simple plexi amp with no bells or whistles just great tone. The problem is I want to hide the amp's characteristics so that I can use Helix's amp models and have them sound like they're intended to. Fender, Vox, etc. What do I need to do to hide the natural Marshall tone so the effects tone can shine through?
