  1. So here's the scenario in a nutshell: I am playing live at church in front of several hundred people. I have one patch set up with the expression pedal controlling the volume for swells. The song ends and I move the expression pedal to the full heel position to mute the guitar. I change to another patch for next song, in which I have the expression pedal assigned to control the mix level of the octo-reverb. The drummer counts us off and I go to start the opening line and I have nothing - no volume whatsoever. So I start frantically waving at the sound guy while pointing to my guitar thinking he may have leaned on the mute button - he looks over the board and shrugs. I go back to the previous patch with the volume pedal and still nothing. I work the volume pedal back and forth, and eureka - there it is! I switch back to the patch with the octo-reverb and I have full volume. Is there a setting I'm overlooking that will prevent this in the future? Am I saving my tones with the expression pedal in the wrong position or something? This is the second time I've been hosed in a live situation by this. I have also played outdoors and been hosed by the sunlight freaking out the optical trigger, but that's something I can live with as I just throw a rag over the expression pedal.
  2. You're right, it is in the wrong forum. However, I tried the AMPLIFI app on this same tablet to run a friend's FX100 and the results were the same. I assume this is because the Firehawk is based on the AMPLIFI platform.
  3. Hi all, I'm a new Firehawk FX owner as of yesterday. I downloaded the app to my phone (Galaxy S4), updated the firmware on the unit, and had it jamming through the P.A. in under ten minutes with full functionality from the remote app. A friend gave me a Verizon Ellipsis 7 tablet which I intended to use exclusively for the Firehawk remote since the screen is much larger than my phone's and would improve work flow and be easier to mess with on stage. I downloaded the app and connected the Bluetooth (solid blue light from the pedal's Bluetooth button) and I was able to switch patches and edit tones but I noticed I did not have certain features that I had on my phone. What I was missing: 1) The tuner could not be selected from the drop-down menu on the app. If I held the tap switch on the pedal the tuner screen would appear on the app and the tuner would work but it displayed a message saying "You must be connected to Firehawk to use this screen". 2) The master volume could not be selected from the drop-down menu. It was on the menu but it was in gray and could not be selected. 3) The "Device" selection from the drop-down menu could not be selected to view preset patches. It showed a Firehawk pedal but it was in gray and could not be selected and simply read "none" whereas that option on my phone would read "Firehawk". 4) The effects switch assign function was totally absent. If you pull up an effect block and scroll all the way to the bottom, there simply was no switch assign menu. I'm assuming that since the whole Firehawk system works flawlessly with my phone I must have a compatibility issue with this tablet or it's Bluetooth for some reason. Can anyone give me some things to try to make this work? I'd hate to blow more money on a tablet that's only going to be used exclusively for this pedal. Thanks in advance!
