  1. Hello. I was wondering if any of you have experienced any issues with the headphone output of the Helix LT or Helix Floor? I have an Helix LT connected as an audio interface to my Windows 10 laptop. I only use headphones and like to jam along with YouTube and guitar pro and recently when I listen to a preset through my headphones connected to the output jack of my Helix LT, the panning/volume is all wonky and is not balanced with the right side noticeably louder than the left. The issue is across all my patches including factory and user). The issue seems to be volume related, if you crank up the amp or add a distortion block it seems to pan harder to the right and becomes very off putting. If you turn the volume knob below 12 o’clock the panning balances better, turn the volume knob up to 3 o’clock or to full then panning is almost hard right and I can hardly hear anything from the left as if you’ve have duff headphones. As a temporary work around I have to pan the output block at the end the chain by at least 30% to the left to balance the sound. I've tried different 1/4 inch adapters and different headphones, I have some in ear monitors and a pair of Beyerdynamic DT770 pro 250 ohm and the issue persists. I have even sought a second opinion from my wife who agrees there is Definitely a panning/volume issue. There is no problems when listening to music and videos from YouTube etc. It only affects my guitar patches. Also, this seemingly started happening out of nowhere. I do not recall making any changes to global settings, but perhaps that is where the problem is? I am updated to firmware version 2.92 and have been since it was released. Out of desperation I have completed a factory reset and even rolled back the firmware to 2.8 and reinstalled 2.92 with no joy and I am now worried it may be a hardware issue. Everything has been working fine until now. If anybody could help me figure this out, I would really appreciate it! Thank you.
  2. Help. Helix is a few years old. Volume pedal only stays at 0% when i hold the heel down. Otherwise it is sort of spongy and will be 5-12% ish. Not so good for volume swells. Does it need mechanical work on the inside??
  3. Hello, I've recently bought a Flextone III XL and I'm pretty disapointed. I have the same problem detailed in this old post (I don't know why Line 6 locked all topics) http://line6.com/support/message/476712 In my case, volume changes coicide when the light of the channel turns off (both in the floorboard and in the amp). Can it be caused by a digital issue? I know lots of people had the same problem with this amp. Does anybody knows how to fix it? Technical support is very very far away from my home. I can't belive Line 6 don't tell me anything but "take it to the technical support". For what I've seen this is a typical issue of this amp. I would apreciate any help you could give me.
  4. Connected to my Helix are my monitors (XLR) and my PC (USB). So, if I play a YT video on my PC it will come out of my monitors. So far, so good. However, the guitar's volume is blisteringly loud. What would be the best way to get the guitar's volume down (regardless of patch used) without touching the patches as I've already set their volume during rehearsals, and without touching the PC's volume? In other words, how do I get the guitar's volume down in the mix?
  5. I'm having two issues. One is that the volume/sustain seems to roll down and cut itself out, not a natural sustain happening. Sounds forcibly rolled down to no volume. The second issue is some snapshots, particularly my lead tone is starting a very low volume and ramping up to where it should be. Even while on the snapshot if I am not consistently playing something it will reduce its volume and ramp up again as I start playing.
  6. I've been using my M13 for a couple months now and generally love it. But I cannot figure out how to get a volume boost for a solo without using an overdrive or distortion effect. Often I want to do a clean solo, perhaps with just some delay or phaser. But those types of effects don't have a gain or output level parameter that I can adjust to boost my signal loud enough for a solo. Am I missing something? Is there some type of "transparent" effect that has an output level parameter I can use for a "clean boost"? Is there some overall setting/preference I should be tweaking? I don't have a volume pedal and I don't want to be dependent on an expression pedal for this. I want to be able to hit one foot switch and not have to do the pedal dance. I run a mono set up, simple input/output with a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe IV. Thanks for the help and suggestions.
  7. I like to play guitar thru the Helix LT (using Headphones) while jamming to music from my PC coming in via USB. I've noticed the volume of the music is full until I start playing guitar, then the incoming music is reduced greatly in volume. If I stop playing guitar, I hear the music slowly ramp up in volume to full level. I've tried several apps to play the music: MediaMonkey, Media Player, VLC, Quicktime. Is the Helix doing this? Any suggestions?
  8. The pins of the connection from input output board (1 to 6) to the A/D Board are shorten to the back casing. Isolating the caseing in this area whith tape solved the problem. nice mixing everyone M20D Rocks (pictures come later)
  9. I have several presents where I want the volume pedal and the wah. When I add these blocks to the path it automatically assigns the volume to exp2 and Wah to exp1. To change between you use the toe switch on the pedal. This is all good except as it's in volume mode as default I have to press the pedal all the way forward to activate the hidden toe pedal to get to the wah. The problem is now I'm at 100% volume as I've had to push the volume pedal all the way forward to get to the tow switch ie all my spare headroom, and it's too loud. Any suggestions please. Thanks
  10. Got my HX Stomp and as expected there is always going to be differences in the volume of the different factory presets as well as the many presets I’ve downloaded from the community site. Such differences of course would be expected say between a clean twin preset and a cranked metal tone. however the volume differences appear to be extremely different from one patch to the next. I spent a number of hours trying to normalize these, not to identical volumes, but to more appropriate volume differences between clean versus crunch versus distorted. at first I begin modifying amp distortion levels then channel volumes then master volumes, then pedal volumes...and lastly noted that additional volume changes could be made at the output. so... before I spend too many more hours, am I missing some major concept here - and if not is there a better way to be approaching more reasonable volume differences between patches. Many thanks, Jack
  11. I apologize if this topic already exists in the forum. I was searching on how to set up tone/volume in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. I didn't find the answer in Forum. My Spider V 30 is connected correctly to PC via USB and there is a sound of TL in Cubase. In Cubase, I choosed ASIO Spider V driver. I/O is Speder V (L&R) - Active. ASIO buffer Size is set to: Extra Small. I can record my TL from SpiderV 30 via USB and reproduce my records, too. It is not a problem, it works. But, quality of record is desperate and not acceptable, too. The sound is dark, blurry, somehow smudged and does not match what I hear on Spider V 30 while playing & recording. E.g effect as drive is not OK and corrupts the recorded. This is especially pronounced when I strumming all the strings. When I am playing finger style in clear sound or near clear, it is a better. It seams to me that solution is to set properly the tone on all devices in the chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC. Acctually to set properly the tone/volume of input signal to PC or output signal from Spider V 30 via USB. When I am playing acoustic guitar via USB Audio Interface (UAI), I can adjust Input signal at UAI and all works fine. But at Spider V 30 there is not possibility to adjust Input signal. I can adjust tone at TL guitar as imput signal to SpiderV 30, but it changes a sound of guitar at SpiderV 30. Or I can reduce/decrease Master tone of SpiderV 30, but I can not hear what I am playing. Please, give me opinion regarding this topic. How to properly set up tone of all devices in chain: TL guitar, SpiderV 30 & Cubase at PC? What are your experiences with this?
  12. Helix Native will not open in hardened runtime builds of Cubase 10.5 In rare cases, Helix/HX devices can become disconnected from HX Edit. If possible, always connect your Helix/HX device directly to the USB port closest to your computer's power connector. Never use any sort of USB hub, which may include the front USB ports on the front of towers Logic Pro X is currently unable to write snapshot or switch automation data for Helix Native In HX Edit, moving an effect, amp, cab, or IR block can sometimes inadvertently reposition a Split or Merge block In rare cases, the Dynamics > LA Studio Comp model can sometimes cause a drop in preset volume Pitch/Synth > 3 OSC Synth, 3 Note Generator, and 4 OSC Generator are louder than in 1.71
  13. In rare cases, the Dynamics > LA Studio Comp model can sometimes cause a drop in preset volume. Some tempo synced effects can act authentic with the global setting set to transparent if tempo changes are controlled via snapshots. In rare cases, Helix/HX devices can become disconnected from HX Edit. If possible, always connect your Helix/HX device directly to the USB port closest to your computer’s power connector. Never use any sort of USB hub, which may include the front USB ports on the front of towers. On Helix Rack/Control, connecting an expression pedal to Helix Control could sometimes cause the pedal position display to behave erratically. Pitch/Synth > 3 OSC Synth, 3 Note Generator, and 4 OSC Generator are louder than in 2.71.
  14. [Hi! Long-time player - first-time poster] I'm using my HD500x in Pedalboard mode with different effects assigned to each of the 8 foot switches. I would like to assign WAH and VOLUME to the Expression pedals, EXP 1 and EXP 2, but cannot figure out how to do that. I can take one of the FS and change it to WAH and then change the assignment to EXP 1, but then I lose the effect I had on that FS. I feel like this should be easy to do, but I just can't figure it out for some reason. What am I missing here? Thanks for your help.
  15. Hi, about two years ago i bought my Amplifi TT and i'm very happy. I use it into a stereo in my bedroom (directly or through a little mixer). I always had a great sound and a great volume, but now i noticed that the volume of "amp out" is very low and the sound is tiny and distorted. If i use "phone" or "main-left" outputs the sound is great. Is it possible that the "main out" output is broken or defective? I used my Amplifi TT only 3/4 times outside my home. Thanks
  16. Hi, i have a problem with my pod hd500x: when i plugin my pedalboard to the pc for edit the tones and exit in my amplifier, the tones sounds really good, but when i don't plug to the pc the pod all of my tones have a really lollipop sound, with a lot of interference and really high tones that make the tones noisy. I tried all the way a can to solve this problem, but i haven't found a solution. this is a really sad thing beacuse i have my pod for 8 moths and i can't use it live because i can't bring with me my pc. I hope someone can healp me solving that problem.
  17. Hello! I’m a new HX Stomp user. 1 month of use. I’ve used only the effects on gigs but would like to broaden to using the amp models. I’m confused by a few things and would appreciate some help to get me on the right track: 1) Effects: Volumes seems to vary. Distortion and overdrives seem to be the toughest to balance. Any suggestions on correctly balancing levels? Should the master volume knob on the HX Stomp always be set to the max? 2) Amp & Cab models through a P.A.: I tried using an amp model & separate cab model through a P.A. in a well equipped Club and the FOH guy said the volume signal was loud but not loud enough. “A bit thin” in his words. I set my Input level to “Line” as tutorials explained. Am I suppose to set both Input and Output to “Line”? Thank you in advance for suggestions Oscargtr
  18. The overall volume is the Master Volume control. This is controlled by the "big knob" when the LEDs are red (the default state). All of the other volumes happen before this one and it's ultimately how you control the output level while keeping everything relatively balanced by using all of the other controls. This is a global control. The Guitar Volume happens just before the master and is how you balance the guitar level against the Bluetooth streaming audio that is coming into the unit. This is also a global control and is accessed by pressing the big knob until the LEDs are white. The Channel Volume is like a Master for just the amp, and it is stored with the patch. It adjusts the output level without affecting the tone (like the Gain control on the amps would). This is the control you use to level your presets relative to each other. The slightly quirky thing here is that it does live in the amp processing slot, so it happens in the signal chain before the post effects. In v1.1 firmware and later, pressing the big knob until the LEDs are pink acts as a short cut to accessing this control without the app. The Gain on the amp panel is the per-patch parameter that affects the tone of the amp - also referred to as Drive The Volume Pedal is an additional real-time control whose value is not saved with the patch. You can see in the app where it lives in the signal path. The Master control on HD amps is considered a deep edit parameter (like sag, hum, etc.) that is saved with the patch and is exclusive to HD amps. It's the output level of the preamp to the power amp. When you load one of these models, the stored value is right for that amp in the default state and it's usually best to leave it where it is unless you are going for a very specific effect.

Stereo Wide; Left Coaxial, Center Speaker, Top Horn, Right Coaxial.
  20. Hi, I noticed that when I record a loop (single layer), the volume of its playback drops quite a lot compared with anything I play on it (even not overdubbing another loop on it), or compared to the volume when I recorded it. I think it was like that also in the HD500, but not this bad. This happens when in the looper (mono looper) settings I have "playback" and "overdub" at 0 dB, and the low/high cuts are at 20Hz/20kHz. Is there any way to increase the volume of the playback (and not the volume of what I play over it....)? Thanks!
  21. Hi all.. It’s possible to lock Helix main volume ?? I had a gig yestrday and after the soundcheck someone moved helix volume button ... and you can imagine the disaster in the show.... :( It’s something usual when you share gigs with other bands... a lot of cables on the stage.... Any way to aboid that for next shows ??? Thks folks !! Jimmy
  22. I am trying to set up a chain starting with volume pedal - assigned to EXP1 and a wah pedal assigned on EXO2 I want the volume pedal EXP1 to be ON all the time, when I TOE IN to switch to EXP2, I want the volume to remain on, and the wah to come ON as well the WAH functionality when on the EXP2. Right now when i toe IN the EXP1 goes to EXP 2 , but it turns the volume OFF. may be an overkill come to a forum for this, but I am just bouncing some ideas
  23. I am confused about how use a volume pedal block and where to place it in my preset signal path (chain) so that it only acts a true "louder quieter" pedal and does not change the sound or impact other blocks in the chain. Example: If I place the volume pedal at the end of the chain (last block before Output) it still changes the intensity of my tremolo . So if I turn my pedal down with my tremolo active, - it sounds like there is no tremolo at all, - and only if I volume up on the pedal does it start to sound like there is tremolo happening. So put the tremolo block after the foot pedal in my signal path. This is also happening with an EQ block I am using. If I set the Graphic 10 Band EQ where I like it at say 70% on my volume pedal, - when I turn the volume pedal down - it starts to sound super mid-rangy. Where can I place the volume pedal (or how do I set it up) so it makes everything sound exactly the same, but just a louder or quieter?
  24. Hi, there, I have some problems to make the volume levels the same for every preset. at home i setup the volume in the presets at almost 100%. but there are so many diverence in level for each amp model. so at live i have to change every preset every time. can some tell me the right way to make t he same level volume for every preset. thanks.
  25. Hi all, hope you're well. I'm hoping someone will be able to help me please. I'm having difficulties setting up a NT1-A condenser mic through a UX1. I've read through several old posts on this forum but can't seem to find the answer I need. The issue is the volume level from the mic; it's barely audible. The NT1-A is plugged in to the input channel of a Neewer 48V phantom power supply (power into mains), with the output going into the mic input of the UX1. The UX1 is plugged in via USB with the output settings set to 'built-in output' via Garageband on a MacBook Pro, coming through to my headphones. I've cranked the mic gain on the UX1 up to max, pushed the track volume up to max in Garageband and 'Mic 1' input is selected on the mixer in Podfarm. I can mostly hear a quiet, soft hissing noise (presumably the high gain setting) but when I go to record I can hear my voice quietly underneath, so seemingly the mic is on and registering. I've tried clicking the +18db boost on the input channels in the mixer in pod farm, which increase the volume of the hissing and makes things a little louder but something's clearly wrong. I've been recording guitar using Podfarm without trouble, so presumably I'm missing something as I believe other people have managed to get condensers with phantom power working fine? I'd appreciate any suggestions as to how I can fix this,, thank you!
