Tried updating through using HX Edit but it failed and left the unit in recovery mode. Was able to safe boot it and install the update using line 6 updater. Everything is good except I have no audio output on 1/4’ or XLR, but the headphones output works. Any ideas?

I'm running both guitar and vocal inputs on separate paths and outputs. Anyone know how I can mute the vocal with a foot switch?

I'm going to try this. Did you just apply the tape to the helix and it gripped the board fabric or did you apply a strip to the board fabric as well?

How did you attach the Helix to the board? It says it comes with Velcro tape but will that work since the helix has feet? I like the larger case but don't want the helix bouncing around.

Figured it out. You have to create a new path by clicking action and then dragging down an existing block. Once that's done, click action again and then grab the split point on the newly created path and drag that down and it will make a new input.

I want to add a third input block but don't know how. I know it's possible since the manual says each preset can have up to 4 input blocks and there is a template on the helix that has 4 but I can't find any reference on how to add one. I started a preset using the 2 input blocks provided but would like to add a third. Seems like it should be easy so I'm probably missing something. Anyone know how?

I just received an update email from MF. New ETA for mine is 9/18 - well at least it's no longer 9/11.

Well, technically he said they EXPECT to ship next month, August, and the rack, PROBABLY a few months later;-) Maybe I read too much into that but I take it to mean there are some dependencies on other sources/suppliers/etc. that don't have committed dates that are set in stone at least enough for him to be able to actually speak to a definitive a ship date - which is completely understandable. It could ship later or perhaps, if things go well, even earlier. It's interesting to see how companies handle these launches. Maybe they could open Line 6 stores and give an exact date and we can spend the night standing in line hoping they don't run out before it's our turn. :)

I don't believe anyone :-) Launch day my Sweetwater rep said July. I preordered from Musicians Friend and the original expected delivery date was 8/17. I just received an email update a few days ago of 9/11 - more time to save my pennies. Makes you wonder if anyone really knows - or even cares as much as us :-) It'll be interesting to see how it plays out. Do all the resellers get a small number as soon as they are available? Do "preferred" resellers get more earlier, etc? Don't know that anyone at Line 6 could divulge that information anyway. I guess we'll see when they start showing up and people report in.

I picked up a gold 69s on sale shortly after they first came out but really wanted one with a maple neck. Liked it so much I picked up another 69s - this time black with maple neck - and kept the gold for a backup but really never played it much. Saw all the talk of neck swapping on the forums so I figured I'd give it a try and picked up the compound radius maple neck from StewMac and now I end up playing the gold/maple just as much. I actually like the JTV neck but the Strat neck is, well, a Strat neck and feels great! Now I have two JTV-69s' that I have a hard time choosing between when I head out the door. I'll post pics if I can figure out how to from my iPad.
