  1. Yes. For live situations keep in mind that the signal that you send to your amp will be quite bright (which is then tamed by your physical cab). So you may use the option to use cab sims for the XLR outs only, so that the FOH receives a "similar" signal compared to the one you are hearing through your amp. It is always a good idea to try the cab sim/FOH sounds through a PA system, so that you can adjust the sound to be close to your "physical cab sound".
  2. 1) Yes, it is the same user interface 2) You can use FX Returns as second input - it basically works, but I am not sure about the input impedance..
  3. I tried, that solution as well as the equivalent parametric approach. They work fine for my ears. Yesterday I found another option that worked for me: The multiband compressor. Just turn the threshold to 0db of each band to get rid of the compression ;)
  4. Yes, good point. But a split crossover effectively consumes 2 paths. I would prefer to only use one, since the other 3 are already in use.
  5. I want to create an isolated "low end" path for bass guitar and therefore need a way to set a high cut in the 200Hz region. Most blocks offering a high cut parameter are limited to 1kHz as lowest value. The Bitcrusher block allows to set the cut down to 500Hz... The lowest setting I found so far. I tried to mimic the cut with multiple parametric EQs in a row - sort of works, but perhaps someone found a more convenient way?
  6. I experienced a similar issue with a LT. All previously unused presets contained the same preset data that I just copied before. Even worse: All these presets seems to refer to the same "storage" internally: Whenever I made changes to the "base" preset, these changes applied to all "buggy" presets. An Export of Presets, Reset to Default and Reimport fixed the issue for me. No clue what caused this strange state.
  7. I use a Helix LT as platform for bass, live as well as in the studio. For a couple of years I switched back and forth between modeling/multis and a fully analog pedal boards. It is astonishing what progress was made in terms of technology over the last years. Some years ago, modellers (Pod XT, Boss GT10B..) mean that you lose sound quality in exchange for flexibility. But nowadays, the loss of sound is near to not existing. After two days I was capable to reproduce the sound of my former analog signal chain (Darkglass Compressor & Preamp). Ok, there was still a difference: The Helix was less noisy O_O What I like best about the Helix is the parallel processing, the possibility to add EQ/Compression wherever I what to shape the sound and last but not least the great usability to handle the feature overkill.
