  1. Update: I ended up taking the whole unit apart and spraying the heck out of the inside of the switch with electronics cleaner as well. Didn't have time after that to do a proper test, but we'll see how it behaves at rehearsal tonight. The initial sign was slightly promising though - Before cleaning, it didn't register me touching the switch at all, but would randomly activate whenever it felt like it. After cleaning and a quick boot up to see if it still worked, it now responds to touch. So fingers crossed.
  2. I've got an issue that's driving me up the wall, and is stopping me from trusting my HX Effects on a gig. And apparently getting support in Norway is now completely impossible; every link just sends me around in circles and Yamaha Norway doesn't seem to support Line6 products. My issue: The tap tempo capacitive switch function will often start triggering at random - It will just bring up the tempo settings on the scribble strips, and this disables all other switches completely. So if this happens right before I'm hitting a switch to change snapshots, it won't change and I have to wait until the timer screen disappears again (like 2-4 seconds). I've already turned off the touch-to-select option in the settings, and when I actually physically touch the switch nothing happens at all. So this is something deeper in the unit, either physical (overriding the setting) or in software. Anyone experienced similar issues and found a fix? I've got a gig on saturday, and I don't really have a backup rig unless I want to bring my laptop and use plugins all night. I've tried the self-cleaning thing (press and hold the switch while turning it), I've sprayed it with electronics cleaner, and I've factory reset it - Same issue. Happens with the stock power supply and my Cioks Sol (using a current doubler). Can someone with an HX Effects verify something: When "Stomp select" is set to "Press", does the tap tempo still respond to touch? I suspect that it's not actually possible to turn off the capacitive touch function for that switch, and in that case I might be boned. Here's what it looks like; it often happens 10-20 times during a song when it's really acting up. I'm not even touching the unit when this happens, so it's not responding to any form of touch.
  3. Specs: Board: Gator GPB-LAK-1 Power: Strymon Ojai Chain: Korg Pitchblack Mini -> Line6 HX Stomp -> Source Audio Collider (in stereo in the FX loop of the Stomp). Expression pedal: Dunlop DVP4. Plugged into the HX Stomp and controls different things for different presets (volume, delay levels, wah pedal, modulation speed, etc). Tap switch: MXR Tap switch (bottom left) controls the HX Stomp footswitch modes - I jump between preset mode and stomp mode. Dual aux switch: Scrolls up and down through presets on the Collider. I'm a reverb and delay junkie, so I really want to keep those effects in a separate pedal. This means I can use any of my reverb and delay presets with any of my Stomp presets, which is really flexible. Most of my Stomp presets also have a delay block, either assigned to a footswitch or the expression pedal, allowing me to have these massive double delays. The Adriatic delay is definitely my favourite of the Helix delays. Definitely my smallest and most powerful board so far.
  4. Very, very cool! Love the DIY approach I use the same board (the black version). Such a perfect size for the Stomp and a couple of extras.
