  1. Not sure if I know how to do that but I will explain. I’m using standard 4CM using send and return 1 on Helix. I pull up a clean preset and insert send block first before return block. The input at start of chain is set guitar and the output at end of signal chain is set 1/4”(out of course). I have fx loop on amp on via amps factory foot switch. I’m getting the amp sound but not same tone as if I plugged straight into amp.
  2. I try this but get massive tone suck. My tone is altered. The tone is sucked compared to running guitar straight into amp. WHY? Am I doing something wrong?? Not doing something right?? Please help
  3. I get massive tone suck from my Helix floor into my Marshal DSL100HR and 4x12 cab using 4CM. I’m using a fx block(s) ONLY in signal chain( preset). I’m not getting same tone as if I plugged guitar straight into amp. Why is Helix sucking my tone like this?? And is there a solution to have my tone retained running through my Helix? I can’t understand why such an advanced processor as this would do this. Please does anyone know why this is happening and how I can remedy this?? It’s got me crazy and being a virgin and new to all this digital and modeling stuff I I’m trying to learn. Thankyou for any help and feedback
  4. I’m having same issues with my Helix floor running 4CM into my Marshall DSL100HR and 4x12 cab. Massive tone suck. Please help
  5. OMG bro, I’m having same issue with my Helix floor running 4CM into my Marshall DSL100HR and 4x12 cab. I use fx block(s) ALONE on a preset, and get mad tone suck. Like you said this shouldn’t be. Why would the processor alter the tone. It’s not being totally bypassed I assume. I tried also the levels and such on the send/return block(s) and still same results. This amp kicks lollipop has tons of aggression and balls running guitar straight, but through Helix I get tone suck, and all that is lost. Thought I might be doing something wrong. Maybe I am. But for you to have same issues I think not. If you figure out a solution please inform me some way. I will do the same.
  6. I love the feel I get from my Marshall DSL100HR with master volume at 10 using JHS little black box through the fx loop (to tame volume to bedroom levels),and into Marshall 1960 4/12 cab. I just purchased the helix and want to use the 4 cable method to get the most out of my helix using my current amp/ cab setup. I tried hookup using 4cable method as suggested but get VERY LITTLE volume from my amp even when master and preamp volumes are maxed out (without little black box of course). Is there a way I can use my black box as well as using my helix???
