  1. I ended up buying the Spider V 120... It has the XLR line outs, so I can run XLR cables to a PA or get a Seismic 2x12" or 4x12" cab and mount a QSC Power amp in it as a Powered 2x12" extension cab... or add a 1x15" full range speaker in a powered cab... I do have 2 Mackie 400 watt powered speakers that I can also run XLR cables to and have stereo, ...one on each side of the amp... I'll have to try that before I start another project...
  2. Is it possible to turn off, disable all the amp models on the Firehawk and only use the effects???
  3. How long does the battery last between charges on the Spider V 120? Will it last for a 4 hr. gig?
  4. I might have to spring for the 120 watt Spider V with the 12" speaker, but my Spider IV has 2x10's and was stereo. I still have that, and I use a Spider IV 150 2x12" at gigs... But as far as Marketing goes, Guitarists are mostly wanting a minimum of a 12" speaker in their amps unless there are 2x10"s or 4x10's... A 1x10" amp usually isn't going to be used by a gigging musician on stage, even though other 60 watt 1x12" amps are... A 12" just has more bottom end...
  5. A SPIDER V 60 WOULD BE FINE WITH 2X1O" SPEAKER COMBO, OR WITH A 12" SPEAKER, BUT NOT A SINGLE 10"...THAT IS AN "EPIC FAIL" FOR A 60 WATT AMP.
  6. I'D BUY A SPIDER V 60 WATT, BUT NOT WITH A 10" SPEAKER...NO WAY! MAKE IT A 12" EVERYONE DOING REVIEWS IS SAYING THE SAME THING...A 10" SPEAKER JUST DOESN'T CUT IT.
  7. I found out that before you save to my tunes, tap the name and delete it and rename your edited tone, then send to Firehawk and save in my tones. That way you don't create duplicate titles.
  8. I would like to see another update with more Bluetooth stability, and more HD Amps and effects, and any "bug fixes"... However, Bluetooth issues are a problem on tablets too, so you can't entirely blame the Firehawk FX if you are having Bluetooth connectivity problems. My Bluetooth "dumb phone" won't connect to my Mac that has Bluetooth, so there is an issue with that phone and the Mac Bluetooth... I use an Android tablet for the Firehawk FX, and I have had to reboot the Android tablet to get the Bluetooth to work on the tablet... I haven't had to reboot the Firehawk FX though... Additionally, If you didn't update the flash memory firmware from version 1.01 to 1.20, you'll be encountering connectivity problems, and other bugs that the new version 1.20 fixes...
  9. For most players, when you are using an effects pedal like the Firehawk FX, or real stomp boxes, you will be setting your amp on straight CLEAN... If you want 2 reverbs, you can run the reverb on your amp as a master, overall reverb, and use additional reverb on your Firehawk patches... My cousin uses a Marshall and sets it to CLEAN and lets his POD Live XT make the tones and do all the work... I do the same with mine, with some reverb on the straight CLEAN amp. I have 3 different amps, so depending on the size of the gig, I set them all to CLEAN with a bit of reverb, then I use the Firehawk for my patches. That way, it doesn't matter what amp I use, I always have the tones I want on any amp I use...
  10. To: AMedins My Firehawk FX took about 10 min to update the flash memory from my Mac with a USB cable... It shouldn't be updating anything by Bluetooth...Maybe you better download the flash memory firmware update on a Mac or PC. Firehawk comes with flash firmware version 1.01. You need to update to 1.20 immediately before you do anything else. Download the Line 6 Updater Utility software on your computer, install it, then get online and it will find and install the update... Don't try to update it with your iPad. Downlaod the Utility on a computer, then connect a USB cable to the Firehawk to install the 1.20 on the Firehawk FX. It will probably fix the Bluetooth issue you are having, besides updating all the tones and system software.
  11. Hello, I just got a Firehawk FX and an Android tablet and the Firehawk app.... I've been creating the tones I want but I can't figure out you to save them and send them to the pedal in the USER banks... There is no SAVE button that I can find...Where is the SAVE Button? And how do I send them to the pedal and save them in the USER banks? I've been using Line 6 Spider II, III and IV's for years and the Firehawk is not saving by holding down the preset button till they flash, then pressing the button again like the Spider amps... I like the tones I'm creating but I want them saved in the User Presets on the pedal...
