Can I control my iPad using midi cables and midi commands from my HD500X.  Midi mobilizer? or something else?

If going to the front of a Combo, use the pre versions of the models.  Did this with a savage and an old gibson and the improvement was stunning.

Are you using the official Line 6 Pod HD 500 power supply?

I would recommend the tube compressor prior to the amp. Threshold 38%, level 34%. Use the drive on the amp for dirt. Throw in distortion of your choice in front of the tube compressor, should be good to go

Thank you for your efforts, I've been playing for 35 years, never really considered myself an artist, but after listening to your playing I've finally realized, find the tone that works best and just let it all come out.  Your playing is superb, your thoughts on tone are eye opening.  I actually learned how to use a parametric eq for the first time.

Download a frequency response app on your smart phone or iPad/laptop, play your usual stuff on the Pro, take a screen shot from that application and then do the same when playing the new model.  I personally use Spectrum from Black Cat Systems, you can zero in on any particular band say from 2000-3000 hertz to really hone in on certain parts of the tone. 

JC is nice.  I've Dual toned it and put the dimension or analog chorus post one of the amplifiers.  Turn the bright switch on the non chorused one.  Open the cab up with some decay.

I've been reading these forums and contributing for quite a while lately, one thing is apparent, unhappy folks if Line 6 does something, unhappy folks when Line 6 doesn't do something, unhappy folks when Line 6 does something and doesn't meet all your hopes and dreams, unhappy folks no matter what line 6 does. As a City leader once said in a very small town-"b*tch, b*itch, b*itch".  Spend less time doing that, have some blankety blank patience, and practice more!!! Line 6 has been one of the most interesting, groundbreaking experiences I have ever seen outside of Tom Scholz Rockman R and D.

Go to best buy, you can get a charger with different ends that pop on and off and different voltages to fit most POD stuff.  Pay attention to the power you need for the X3 adn match the switch on the back of the wall wart to that.

I would agree even with FRFR some changes might be needed.  The stagesource LT series has a master eq, low, sweepable mid and hi.  i found the same thing, little too much bottom with the LT2. Otherwise throw a 6 or greater band eq into the effects loop.

Really like.  Little "seasoning" (don't use too much) and it will be stellar.

New L2T arrived, issue is not present on the new unit. :)

Well, couldn't clear the issue this weekend, did some more digging into the StageSource and  sure enough found the resonance issue on the E, F, F# at higher volumes.  New L2T on the way, compare both, send bad one back.  Update to follow in a week or so!

I will say this though JTV69S+set of 11's+HD500x+L2T=Outstanding Tone + minimal fiddling+ :D

1/4 inch from guitar into hd500x, 1/4inch or xlr out of hd500x into input 1 of stagesource

anybody come across a low volume fuzziness using the hd500x to stagesource lt2?  I hear this on my clean tones, sort of irritating but tolerable, don't hear it in headphones etc.  Tried cables, etc.  all kinds of other things.  Checked frequency response over the whole spectrum and all tones were tru from about 40 hz-19000 hz so all drivers are functioning.  Volumes and eq are set at 12 o clock, feedback suppression on, acoustic modeling off, tried all speaker modes, tried 1/4 inch and mic cables to inputs, no difference.  Also hear it running keyboards and ipod music.

Any thoughts?

I am going to completely agree with the first post.  Much better definition between models!!  Using a JTV-69, PodHD500X, into a Savage Macht 12 Combo.

I could use it as either.  Expression is desired though-chorus swells, speed, mix etc.  Tap tempo takes care of echo length, I have been able to assign the on board pedal to whatever I need it for, volume, wah.

Any quick fixes to get the Yamaha FC7 Volume Control Pedal to work with an hd 500x?  I plug it in but nothing happens.  Is it the wrong type of pedal or do i need to put an adapter on it to get rid of the tip ring sleeve.
