  6. I tried the cutting off the sleeve wire and it was worst for me, loud pops and buzzing along with the hum. I get a hum when i switch to the clean channel on my Orange Rockerverb MKiii. Tried everything really, no solution. Someone suggested to use a MicroHD HD400 2-channel Hum Destroyer. Ordered one, waiting for it to arrive. Will reply if it works.
  7. i have the HX connected to the effects loop of the rockerverb and the channel switch input of the rockerverb. my guitar is connected to the rockerverb directly. when i turn on the hx effects my amp is typically on the distortion channel, according to the Rockerverb manual it needs to be on the dirt channel for a channel switch pedal to work, then whenever i click on the channel switch i set up on the HX (ExtAmp>ring) it switches to the clean channel, but it pops and then creates the hum. i read on a different forum that the Orange might be sending a signal to turn on a light, for example the light on the Orange Channel Footswitch. Since that signal/current/whatever has nowhere to go on the HX it creates a ground loop. i am going to my practice space this weekend and im gonna try several things to see if i can get rid of the hum, one is having a ground lift pedal between the cables for the channel switch.
  8. Hello everyone, I have an issue with my HX Effects and my Orange Rockerverb MKIII. The issue is when i switch from the dirt to the clean channel, I am getting a low hum. I'm using the HX Effects ability to be able to switch the channel with the Ampout options in the HX Effects. I've tried everything, switching the ring to tip n vice versa, cutting the sleeve on both ends of a trs cable. Tried both TRS and TS cables. As soon as I unplug the cable the hum goes away. Not only does it create a hum but it also makes a loud pop every time i switch from one channel to another. The interesting thing is that this is not my first HX Effects. I bought a used one originally from a friend, I loved it but i had to return it because of the hum. My friend just used it direct to his soundcard, and never dealt with this issue. I thought maybe his unit was faulty so i just decided to buy a new one. But I get the same exact hum and pop. I've tried everything i could, I really don't know what to do anymore. Does anyone have this same issue? And if so a possible fix? Thanks in advance.
