I am trying to learn how to use my Sparrow controller with Helix Native and Reaper. I cannot seem to get it to work. I tested it with a project I am doing with Session Strings pro 2 and it works fine. Can't figure out what I am doing wrong. I will also be posting this in the Reaper forum. Not sure if the problem is with the Daw or Helix Native. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks, Rich

Thanks for all the responses. I do have two more questions. I originally was using the HX Stomp with a Bose L1 compact so the need to play around with the signal path was never utilized. I have been reading the Helix Native manual to better understand how this works for recording in stereo. My questions are as follows: 1. If I drag a stereo effect from 1A to 1B does that effect now only play out of the right channel because I now have created a left and right signal path? 2. What is the purpose of having four signal paths other than to have up to 32 blocks. I see presets that have at least three and the 1A and 1B paths are not fully utilized.

Thank you, my issue with this was the inability to alter the processed track after recording if need be. However, I just found out I could purchase the Helix Native software plugin for just $100 and decided it was the way to go. I never new this was an option. Thanks again for your thoughtful reply. I am trying to use the line 6 stomp as a VST plugin. In this way after recording a track I would like to be able to make any adjustments to the patch if need be. If used as an audio interface the patch is printed to the track and no further adjustments can be made. Is this possible? If it is would anyone have a step by step procedure on how it is done? I have been attempting to get a clean sound with one of the above listed amplifiers in the HX Stomp using a Peerless Cremona 16 jazz guitar which has a low output humbucker. No matter how low I set the drive on the amps it is still overdriven. If I go to low the volume level is way to low to record with. I would think these amps in a live situation would be excellent for a jazz guitar, especially the twin reverb. Has anyone had any luck using these amps for a similar situation? Tanks, Rich

Thanks, I was watching a you tube video and the guy said that if you link the dual speakers you can make simultaneous adjustments if you chose to. I don't remember who it was. This leads to another question. Why would I want to link the cabinets?

If I link two speaker cabinets and attempt to change a parameter I was under the impression that both cabs would be changed by the parameter selected. This is not happening. If I select link and choose a cab both sides will end up with the same cabinet but I have to set parameters for each cabinet separately. Is thi correct or am I doing something wrong. Was not aware that the term Brit was synonymous with Marshall. Also when a person ask a question they obviously are unaware of the answer or they would not be asking. . So, In retrospect, no question is ever stupid. You may find yourself asking one of those "Stupid" questions some day yourself.

Interesting, I only use presets and never have an issue with sound dropping out or a delay between presets. I do have a question however. if you use snapschot is there a way to switch to another preset without having to manually turn the knob on top?

I had twice lost the scroll mode which I use to perform. Luckily it has only happened at home. I think my big feet hitting more than one thing at a time. The following allows you to restore the global settings without loosing all your presets. Resetting All Global Settings: Resetting the Global Settings returns them to factory default. Performing this reset does not affect any presets you may have created. 1. From the Global Settings menu, press ACTION. 2. Press Knob 1 (Factory Settings). The following dialog appears: Cancel, OK Factory Settings? 3. Press Knob 3 (OK)

How do you reset the global settings if you are not able to access HX Edit. I just had an issue at home and had to reset. I have an upcoming gig and realized if I needed to do this manually how is it done? I know there is a way but cannot remember the steps. Thanks in advance for any help. Regards, Rich
