  1. I did before I upgraded but I’m OCD with backups and wanted to after I upgraded. Now I’m getting that error but if I export every preset one by one it’s fine.
  2. Hey... I am currently trying to backup my presets from Helix Edit 2.80 and keep getting the error "Operation failed due to DSP overload (code -8611). Does anyone know what is going on? It gets to 38% every time then that error pops up. I am wondering if this is due to the new firmware or version of edit. Thanks!

    Cannot install helix edit

Thanks! I don't know what was going on. The file just wouldn't download properly but now I'm all set with 2.80!

    Cannot install helix edit

The file I am trying to install is HX Edit v2.71 Installer.exe. I also tried HX Edit v2.70 Installer.exe. I have WIN10 64 and have not had any other problems installing files until this one.

    Cannot install helix edit

Hopefully someone can help. Every time I try to download and install Helix edit i keep getting the following error "the file or directory is corrupt and unreadable". This has never happened before and all of my other files install just fine. Any insight?
  7. You know I’m an idiot, I was thinking the other way around. This is definitely the answer. Sorry for my helix nOOb question and thank you!

Double playback into speakers and daw.

Ah I see what your’e saying. Because when I turn monitoring off, it is still recording the signal... my idiot brain never even thought of this.
  9. Yes. When I turn off DAW monitoring, I still hear normal playback like I would when I’m just playing through it normally.
  10. ok... ill try to explain better... if im recording and monitor in my daw is on, i can hear through the speakers normal playback (ie how it normally sounds with daw not even turned on) and through the daw. when i turn track monitor off, i can still hear it normally through the speakers still. is there a way to turn off playback straight to 1/4inch speaker inputs so i can have that quiet UNLESS the daw monitor is turned on?

ok, so what you guys are saying is to not run the helix as a direct interface but instead go through my normal interface? is this the only solution? or can i switch the output to usb only and bypass the direct to studio monitors?
  12. thats not the problem... the problem is when its switched on, its double from my daw and straigth playback to my speakers.. when my monitor is switched off... theres still playback direct to speakers.

I know I could switch the channel monitor off in the daw. The problem is the opposite. I want sound only coming from the daw and not direct. If I use the big knob, it changes the level both from direct playback and the daw at the same time.

Hi, I don’t know if this is a dumb question but I have my Helix set to 1/4” out to my speakers and have USB set to computer. When I open my DAW and set to record, I was wondering if I can hault the straight signal to my speakers while I monitor through the DAW. There is two signals simultaneously coming through my speakers, direct and through the DAW. I hope this makes sense.
