  1. I actually had this problem living in an apartment. Supposedly modern wiring, etc... but I think there were grounding issues and got alot of noise and an occasional radio signal using my HD500 both direct to a QSC K12 and in four cable with a Hughes and Kettner Tubemeister and speaker cabinet. Ground lift switch on. It doesn't happen where I live now. So it could definitely be a power issue where you live. The HD500 no longer does this, nor does the Helix which I just got.
  2. Same thing happened on Win 7. Try downloading through Chrome or do as capdoogie suggests and go back to the previous updater which downloads fine.
  3. Actually I was about to do that but, being the glutton for punishment that I am, I tried one more time through Chrome. So capdoogie is right, the previous updater will work.
  4. I had problems as well. Attempted and deleted roughly 4 downloads and it kept saying the file was corrupt. I think it was an Explorer issue. In the end, I rebooted my computer (Win 7) and accessed the web through Google Chrome. No problem after that. Updater 1.07 downloaded and installed and 1.06 installed on the Helix.
  5. Yeah. just hook up a midi cable. It can be 5 pin because phantom power isn't necessary. Get your 4 cable setup done first, ie.... levels, cables, etc.... Then hook up the midi. Get to the channel on the amp you want, then get into the patch you want. Hit midi learn on the back of the H&K, then hit the footswitch for the patch you are on. Every time you go to that patch it will switch the channel on the amp. For simplicity sake, I copied the same patch 3 times and called them H&K Clean, Crunch, and Lead.
