  1. It could be a number of things, if you are using an extension cable to plug into the wall socket for power is that earthed ? Could you try plugging in to a different wall socket somewhere else in your home ? Do you have led or halogen lights with transformers, if you switch them off does the hum go away ? if I forget to plug in my MacBook while USB connected to my LT I do get a lot of hum , try plugging the computer and LT into the same wall socket ?
  2. We had our first Jamulus band practice this week, it took a few attempts of setting things up given that we are all remote and have totally different home kit, we were sans our drummer this time round and hope to all be together next week but a very promising first session. We are all in the UK and all were hardwired to our routers, latency was around 40ms end to end so yes it was noticeable but we managed, we had fun and played through some of our slower tempo covers. You do need a USB Audio Interface with ASIO (pc) or Core Audio (mac) , if using a Helix family device you need to install HX Edit and that installs the correct drivers, I disabled local monitoring by sending my patch output to USB 5/6 so the Jamulus client takes input from USB 5/6 and outputs to USB 1/2 so I can still leave my headphones plugged into the Helix LT There are a couple of very helpful Facebook groups and the Sourceforge discussion group is very active and helpful , my advice is to focus on your home setup and use a public server that has low latency to get going, then if you want to you can explore building your own http://llcon.sourceforge.net/ Happy Jamming

  4. Can anyone recommend remote Rehersal software that would allow a band in the same part of the country to rehearse together to keep spirits up, when they cannot be together ? We don’t live close enough to simply crank up the amps and open the window :-)
  5. I have the Moskey dual switch and had a short TRS cable to connect it to the Stomp , worked fine for a couple of weeks and then started doing the scrolling thing you mentioned, replaced the TRS cable with a longer one and it’s been 100% fine since
  6. When using the HX Stomp Main Output Left —> DI box , DI box thru —> FRFR, DI box XLR output —> FOH , what are you setting the HX Stomp main output level to ? Instrument or Line ? i have the Headrush 112 and currently my HX Stomp output is set to Line, the Stomp is connected to the Headrush with a TS cable Are you using a passive DI box ? Thanks
  7. Hi So quick update, I returned the HX Stomp and got a replacement, this one does the same thing, I found that the simplest way to tame the hum when just using headphones at home was just to plug the HX Stomp output into the effects return on my HT -5 amp and leave the amp off, hope this may help others.
  8. Hi Interesting to see that someone else has the same issue... I found that if I used a TC Electronic Bona Fide buffer before the HX Stomp that seemed to reduce the noise quite a bit - that said when only using Guitar--> HX Stomp --> Headphones there really should not be that added interference type noise ? For a quick comparison I fired up my Blackstar HT5 (V1) that has quite a few pedals before the input and in the FX loop - switched it to the gain channel and that had less noise in that chain it seemed than the HX Stomp on its own so I would guess there is something amiss, was advised by Line 6 support after listening to a recording of the hum to contact the reseller, currently doing that to arrange next step, as it's less than 30 days I can return it.
  9. Hi I recently purchased an HX Stomp and on the whole am very impressed, I have been using the HX Stomp DIR presets with only a guitar and wired headphones plugged in and I notice a lot of what sounds like ground loop hum, which is weird as there is nothing else powered plugged into the HX Stomp. The HX Stomp is using the provided Line 6 PSU with the UK adapter (as I am in the UK) . Guitar (MIM Strat) --> L Mono Input HX Stom - DIR factory patches --> Headphone socket --> Headphones. HX Stomp is running 2.71 firmware. When I have my hands on the strings or touch any of the exposed metal parts of the guitar cable or headphone jack the hum goes away, however if I touch the foot switches it changes to a more "electrical higher pitched hum" . I tried a few different sockets around the house and the level of hum stays the same. If I plug the Helix Stomp USB connector in to my MacBook pro and ensure that the laptop is connected to the mains then the hum goes away (you can still hear a weird very slight electronic beeping noise). I will call support tomorrow when they get in - but wanted to see if anyone else had an ideas ? Thank you !
