UX2 no instrument signal

I get no response in the software or on the interface when I plug in instruments to the instrument input. I have updated the drivers and I have instrument selected in pod. Can't figure out why my instrument inputs won't work. Mic inputs work fine. Yes my knobs are turned up and I tried every usb port.
