  1. This regards sending MIDI CC commands from an iPad running For Score to my Helix LT (version 3.0, although I have firmware 3.5 loaded). I recently discovered that I could send MIDI PC commands from ForScore and make the Helix change the active Preset. But I'm wondering a couple of things ... 1. is it possible to send CC commands from For Score, and how? Is this done through Hex Codes? 2. If CC messages can be sent, what can they affect on the Helix? I've been reading the Helix manual (version 3.0) and there isn't a lot of information on CC messages. Looks like you can send CC to simulate Expression pedal input, or simulate a stomp button being pressed, or you can control the looper in the Helix, or maybe even invoke one of your snapshots. But based on the manual I'm reading, that's about it. My limited understanding of MIDI is that CC messages are intended to change a setting on controlled MIDI device (Helix in this case). So, should I infer that I can have a particular PRESET loaded (via a PC command .. that much I know I can do and have done it) ... and then send Helix a subsequent CC command to change a setting on one of the pedals in my patch ? That's something I might want to do, but the documentation I'm reading makes it look like that Helix doesn't provide a lot of CC messages, and they're very specific about what you can do. It doesn't look like assigning setting values to components in your patch chain is something the Helix software allows. I have tried to watch YouTube videos and read the documentation to get educated about MIDI. I certainly know more than when I started. If any of you can provide resources that talk about sending CC messages from ForScore to the Helix, I'd appreciate it. At this point, it appears that PC (patchchange) and CC (using hex codes .. although please confirm that Hex codes are used for CC) are what can be sent to Helix. My question is ... what settings can the CC commands affect? Thanks in advance. Hopefully you can point me to some resources or answer the question.
  2. Hi! I recently got a used POD XT Pro and I am setting it up for live use. To do this, I got myself an FBV Shortboard MK I. I am looking to use the Compressor and EQ via footswitches, but clearly the Shortboard MK I doesn't support it [as far as I know]. Given this, I am now left to trigger them using CC #26 and CC #63 respectively. I would like to keep things simple, so I am looking at a simple 2-button MIDI footswitch that triggered either 0 or 127 [i.e. off and on] for each CC #. I was wondering if there is a MIDI footswitch that you could recommend for this purpose. I am not sure if this will help, but I also have an FBV 2 controller [the one with two switches for bank up/down]. I am curious if this could be configured to trigger the said CC numbers, as that will definitely help me save on costs. Thanks a lot guys!
