Blazkowicz15
Can i use Line 6 POD X3 Live as good PC sound card to support/connect high quality HI FI power amp and speakers without sound quality loss? Does POD x3 Live have D/A converter?
Triryche
When connect via USB with the proper drivers the X3 can be used as a soundcard. Yes there are D/A convertors. There is always an inherent quality loss when doing a D/A conversion, but if you are asking if it would sound worse than your pc's integrated soundcard, the answer is likely no, it will not sound worse and may sound better.
Charlie_Watt
My HD500x sounds great hooked up to my laptop when used as an output device. I have it going to a powered PA speaker that I play guitar through also but I can play along with any thing that I have on my Laptop. Palico
I've done that setup for recording before actually doing the mix down using my X3. I will say I had on occasion run into issue with some pops in the sound but I think those were more realated to my PC CPU and Memory capacity/ability than the X3 unit and drivers themselves.
