chris7619
hey folks, sorry for my english but i have a problem with this f... pod-hd. i cant install the main drivers. after reading 1000 of posts what to do....nothing happend, no driver installed. os: win7 64bit (fresh install 9.12.14) virusfree. everytime when i use the monkey the install process where aborted after i connect the pod via usb to my pc....the automatic hardware detection is running but then the message prompted.....keine treiber installation möglich. under my systemsettings (geräte manager) i deinstalled the drivers again....after that a fresh reboot...nothing helps. the license manager works correctly and i have registered my product there and on the line 6 site. any suggestions for that f....error? i think the windows 98 times are over but määähhhhh that was a mistake. thanks for any constructive answer. best regards chris7619 Edited December 11, 2014 by chris7619
silverhead
This is common advice that you may have already read and tried, but just in case...... Follow the directions in Line 6 Monkey closely, especially about when to disconnect and reconnect your device. Try all USB ports on your computer. Avoid using any USB hubs. Temporarily remove all other USB devices; if the Line 6 driver installs successfully then reconnect the other devices one at a time to identify a potential conflict. chris7619
i have followed the instructions in monkey 10 times. thats not the problem. via "usbdeview" i deactivated all usb ports except the mouse. then, after reboot a new test in monkey but the message in the screenshot above appears again. then i delete all other usb ports.....new test with monkey...same error. I wonder because there are not more users with the same error message? i mean many people use a fresh system with win64bit, intel i5 then i tried this: "This driver release fixes problems with model pack authorization on some recent i5/i7 computers and sets the +18 boost for POD HD, POD HD300, POD HD400, POD HD500 and POD HD PRO to off by default." ---Result: same error... silverhead
Have you tried all the USB ports on your computer, especially the rear panel ones?
chris7619
yes, i have only 4 ports at the rear panel. no front. whats about this: If you try to use any product driver that was not certified by Microsoft, you can still install it but Windows 7 - 64 bit won’t let you run the driver. (http://line6.com/support/topic/7369-pod-hd500x-usb-fw-000/?do=findComment&comment=51227) ...i have tried this but nothing changed.?!?! chris7619
shure i can test this...(Legacy USB Storage Detect: Some very old OSes -- like DOS -- don't play nice with USB storage devices. Enabling this setting can help through emulation.) its realy curious, all my other usb hardware that i buyed over the years, from 5€ to 200€ installed without any trouble....but hardware for 240€..lollipop
chris7619
(Code 52)"
silverhead
At this point I suggest you open a support ticket to work directly and individually with Line6 techs support personnel. http://line6.com/support/tickets/add.html
chris7619
jesus.... pls, mark this thread as solved or sticky. what i d on my machine intel i5...win7-64bit prof.. logged in as admin, no UAC. deactivating my ESET Antivirus ...maybe this was the error with the not certified drivers from line6.. and after booting press F8 in the advanced startup setup and choose "loading uncertified drivers" (Erzwingen der Treibersignatur deaktivieren Ermöglicht, dass Treiber mit ungültigen Signaturen installiert werden.) now all things are going well. thanks for the inspiration to find the error where i thought its not possible.
jandrio
this is a known win7 issue. check out this older post: http://line6.com/support/topic/7369-pod-hd500x-usb-fw-000/?do=findComment&comment=51227 ps the correct translation from german is "Disable Driver Signature Enforcement"..
