Low E string on JTV-59 sounds different than modeled guitar???

On several models on my JTV I am getting an extra twangy almost acoustic sound out of my low E string. The Jazz box and Deluxe Tele are the most obvious, the rest of the strings sound like a hollow body more full and way less twang. Any Ideas, it almost sounds like the raw paizo sound is mixed into that string. It is updated to the newest release with all my models erased? Also where can I get a 3 way switch for it, mine has a lot of play in it now? Thanks!

It's the vibration of the string in the saddle at the base of the bridge. I had the same problem. I used a little electrical tape underneath the string down to where the ball end slides in to dampen it and it's helped a lot. There's been a few posts about where to get the three way switch on the boards too. I know it's from fullcompass.com but I don't have the link. Sorry.

I posted in another thread I made how I finally eliminated that funky overtone. Turn tone knob to about 7-8 and it's gone. Hope this helps you too!
