Using POD HD500x live for death metal band

I bought my HD500x a few months ago.

I'm having problems with the distortion. I play in a death metal band, so I need a really tight, heavy sound, but when I plug my POD into PA, I can't get any sound that isn't muddy and noisy. Drummer can't hear what we're playing.

I need some tips from fellow HD500x users on how to get a strong and clear death metal sound live.

Thanks in advance :)

if you search Customtone for songs/bands that you would find in your setlist,

1. you may find something you can use

2. you can see what others did and can make your own based on what you liked and didn't like from others

Also, if you go to this section

you may find some help that has already been posted

Just make sure you're building your live presets at your intended volume through a PA system. I like to do my tweaks when another band member is there to confirm or deny what I "think" sounds good. If you're having clarity issues, but the volume is fine, turn down some gain. Live heavy guitar NEEDS lots of midrange, too, so don't scoop out the mids.
