POD FARM 2 only works in standalone version - UX2

Recommended Posts

Hello everyone,

recently I had to get a new HDD on my Macbook Pro. I used to run Snow Leopard on it, but I recently upgraded to Logic Pro X, wich isn't supported by Snow Leopard. I had to install Yosemite (I know, it sucks...).

I also had to reinstall Pod Farm 2. So far so good, when opening in Logic it gets authorized, everything green. Great! A quick try out in Logic: No sound... and I can't see the needles going up and down. It's not only POD Farm. It doesn't pick up sound! lollipop.

After searching the internet I found out you first have to open it in the Standalone version to get it to work. So I did. In standalone version I immediately get sound and I can see the needles jumping. Great, I fixed!

Wrong! I opened Logic. Again, no sound, no jumping needles. WTF!

I searched into my DAW settings. Both input and output are set to UX2. This is correct or am I wrong?

I must confess, I don't know much about the general settings of a DAW.

If you need more details, I'll gladly give them. Please try to answer in not so technological terms, if possible :P

Have you installed the Line 6 drivers for the UX2?  Perhaps running Monkey and checking for all updates will do it?

Sorry for the late reply... Anyway, all drivers have been installed. The first thing I did was checked any updates. It said I was up to date.

This is a black-faced POD Studio?

Have you run the license manager?

This is indeed the black-faced POD Studio. I had to recheck my license, but it authorised my device as a legit one, like before.

Are you trying to run the plug-in?

I tried it with and without the plug-in in my DAW.

The problem is that I don't get any sound and the needles aren't moving. In standalone I get sound and the needles are moving like nothing's wrong.

I'm guessing nothing's wrong with the hardware, but maybe a setting in my DAW or a compatibility problem...
