I bought myself a POD X3 second hand... not woo at all, it's the wrong device.Okay, can you help me out.Which model POD do I need to buy to be able to connect my Variax 300 to my computer. Charlie_Watt
You can get the USB interface or one of the pods that supports the Variax VDI. A used X3 Live would do it. The USB interface is only for Variax. You might be better off finding a used Pod X3 Live since you can use that for more than the USB interface for the Variax. charlesian2000
Thank you Charlie, I have found one, or so I hope... it depends if it is still for sale. Do you know if the later POD live units will accept my Variax 300? In case my X3 Live deal falls through?I relly live the POD X3 standard that I own, it's a tonne of fun, I'm thinking the X3 Live will be even more fun. silverhead
The Pod HD500/X and Pro/X have the required VDI connection for Variax. So does the recently announced Firehawk FX.
Charlie_Watt
I own an X3Live and it works fine with my Variax 500 which is the same as your 300 interface and Workbench wise. The X3 Live is still a very good unit. I upgraded to an HD 500X when I got my JTV.
