Tboneous
i have hd500 + dt50 + epiphone custo, ( les paul ) What is most authentic plexi sound on hd500 + dt50? Brit j-45 Plexi Lead 100 Brit P-75 i like this sound ? I'll tell ya after I stop laughing at my man in the video who is FEELIN' that s@#t! That is the funniest thing I have seen in a long time! I'm sending it to everyone I know!!!! Ok... Ive taken a break from laughter! Yeah... use the Plexi Lead. You're going to have to do some eq stuff to dial in the middle and roll back some of the bass but it is definitely doable. No idea what pickup situation you got going on in that Epiphone! Just be realistic! You won't get that exact tone. As a matter of fact, another Marshal Plexi won't get that exact tone. Me playing that rig won't get that exact tone. That dude playing that same rig may have a hard time reproducing that exact tone tomorrow. What you want is a good tone that reflects some of the characteristics and nuance of of my funny faced mans tone. It's going to be slightly different. But because it is slightly different, doesn't mean its bad, its just different! Just promise me one thing....Play like my man in the video and post it here! Ok....back to LMFAO! mribanezmetal
For what it's worth, I like to use the JTM 45, P75 and the 9/15 models on my DT50 and Marshall Greenback loaded cabinet for more classic rock and blues tones. I like the Plexi model but there's something about the P75 model I like more and a friend of mine who owns a RI Plexi agreed. I think if there was a 'jumped Plexi' then I'd be right into that but as I don't have a HD500 I'm unable to run two amp models to replicate blending the two channels found on the real amp. For some reason I like the greenbacks the best too for almost every tone I build. Good mids on them.
