12 String Simulation

I was just curious to know what settings you guys have used on the HD500X to get a convincing 12 string sound. I've tried YouTube but haven't found it that helpful without the Dream Rig.

It won't be that convincing unless you can do +1 octave on the bottom 4 strings and unison but slightly delayed on the top 2 strings.

My 12 string gets me the 12 string sound, not the pod. 

But, as said above, I think the Variax has been shown to give some good results when combined with the Pod.

The Variax 12 string models are not bad but they still don't do it for me.  They just do not sound like a real 12 string.  Not sure what is missing - maybe it's the timing of the strings being played.  They are not simultaneous when you play a real 12.

I thought there was a delay in the model otherwise exact same tuning of the strings wouldn't give the effect at all, but I expect that it is a fixed delay rather than varying based what you are doing

PLEASE!! Someone give me the settings for a rich electric 12 string sound eg, Roger McGuinn.  I'm using the JT Variax 67 with the acoustic model selected and a clean amp setting in the pod hd 500x. I've played with the eq and everything sounds harsh and unpleasant.  There's a "quack" sound on the attack of the 6th string as well.
