Customer Tom Sawyer tone - No Sound

I recently purchased the POD HD500X and took the liberty of downloading some of the Custom Tones from the Line 6 website.  One of the tones I downloaded into my unit was Tom Sawyer http://line6.com/customtone/tone/852279/.  But when I tried to access it I did not get any sound.  I can't figure out what the problem is.  Has anyone else here had any problems with Customer Tones not getting any sound?  Can anyone provide some insight based on my description of the issue?  Thanks!

Customtone is a user-populated database of tone files, with no moderation or file checking. It is not unusual to have problems with downloaded files.

In your case I suspect the most likely problem is a mismatch of Inputs. The downloaded file may have the Inputs set to physical inputs on the device that you are not using.

Thanks again to everyone that posted suggestions. It was just a matter of changing the Input 1Source to GUITAR. What threw me off and confused me was that I already have two custom tones saved to the POD. My Input 1 Source was set to GUITAR for both tones. When I first programmed the settings in the Setup mode I was under the impression that these would be universal for all tones. Unless I need to change something else within the Setup menu would I have to check the inputs for each tone that is downloaded now?

You need to set it as global.

And depending on your usage, you may want to consider having the 2nd input as Variax.

It will reduce "noise". But doesn't do any good if you are using 2 guitars, lol.

I guess technically you don;t need to make it global, but it definitely solves a lot of problems if you are only using one device.

Will have to try this as well!  Thanks!  :)
