frstrat
I discovered that the set screw for my JTV-69 was missing. I've ordered a couple replacement screws from Full Compass but it's a special order item, and it'll be a few weeks to get the replacement. Anyone have any idea on the size/dimensions of this part? Wondering if I could find something at my local hardware store... Thanks!
psarkissian
SET SCREW, 4-40 x .125", STEEL CUP POINT. Has to have the cup point or it won't lock the Trem bar correctly.

Charlie_Watt
Are you sure it's not metric?
psarkissian
No,... it's inches. Thanks.
frstrat
Ordered set screw with above noted dimensions - it was much too small. Perhaps I'm referencing the wrong part. I need to replace the screw accessible from the trem cavity that secures the arm to the bridge.
frstrat
Full Compass says the dimensions for the set screw are m3x3mm, 1.5mm hex
johnmcchavs
I ordered m3x3 and they are not matching (either the screw path is destroyed, or the screws are too large).
psarkissian
Sounds like you ended up with the saddle height adjusting screw. See my prior posting for the correct one.

Don't bother with it. Just get some plumbers Teflon tape, wrap the end, push it in, and it will fit pretty snugly.
