Would a Push to Talk Microphone with 1/4" plug work with the GX?

Was wondering if anyone would know if this would work. If I plug a 1/4" Push to Talk microphone into the instrument jack of the GX would it work? I "think" it would but was wondering if anyone is more sure than I, lol.

 

I suppose any 1/4" jacked dynamic mic would work if the one I've got pictured does as there's many other kinds available.

With impedance mis-match and my knowing the circuitry inside,... there will be problems.

It may work for a time, but the circuits will be stress and chances are high it will blow

the amp circuits inside at some point. CB mics are not made for this application,....

I used to do CB radio back in the 1970's. This would require some serious mods and

intimate knowledge of the audio circuit of a GX.
