DelphiJuice
Hi guys I have a problem with my pod hd500x. My guitar tone is D standard and I have to pitch in many presets I made. The problem is that when I play some presets with pitch +2 and I play in hybrid picking often pitch glide loses control and I get a stoned sound. It's very horrible to listen!! Can you help to to fix this? It seems like it cannot handle this. P.S. I've already tried pushing the pitch glide before everything or after a noise gate but nothing changes. Thanks
CipherHost
The pitch glide in my 500X is fine for single notes, but warbles with multiple note combinations, some worse than others. It has been stated by some that they do not notice a problem with their units. Others have noted it is not a polyphonic effect. Some indicate the best position is at the beginning of your chain. Nothing helped my unit with multiple notes. Don't mean to be a downer. Maybe someone else will provide better news.
AlexKenivel
The tracking for the pitch glide, when used right, is very good but not great. IME it can track power chords and single notes no problem, start character to a chord and things get funky.

IME it can track power chords and single notes no problem, start character to a chord and things get funky. The root and the fifth together (just two notes) is about as far as I could get and not get warbling. I think "if used within its limits" is how I would phrase it. AlexKenivel
the "right" way I was referring to was simply being the first effect in the chain, but yeah, within its limits sounds good too
DelphiJuice
I've already tried to push it before all.. I can only get a little improvement by placing a compressor before it but I still hear the noise.. Is it possibile that line6 could fix this problem on the next firmware update? AlexKenivel
Next firmware update.. Lol... That's funny But really, there's nothing to fix. Its not meant to be polyphonic. Maybe get a Variax?

AlexKenivel
Or a capo since you want things two steps up ;)
CipherHost
.. or a guitar with no floyd rose <_< <_< <_< <_< <_< The Floyd Rose is not the source of this problem. I have played several guitars with different bridge types and even a keyboard into the POD with only the pitch glide in the chain. The use of 7ths or 9ths completely disrupts the tone. Alternate tuning on the Variax guitars is really nice if you like that convenience. I don't have a Helix, but I saw a video by one of our forum members (gangsterusa) where it looks like he is playing a Les Paul, (not a JTV-59) where he has a FS set to change tuning to Eb. I didn't know the Helix did that. gangsterusa link
