archisc
What sample rate do people use for live gig only? I find 96Khz produce more clearer sound but hurts DSP. Higher sample rate requires less treble and presence setting.. and less muddy... Any work around?
phil_m
Are you talking about the "Sample Rate" parameter on page 2 of the Ins/Outs menu in Global Settings? That setting only determines the sample rate of the S/PDIF and AES/EBU outputs. It doesn't change the internal sample rate of the unit at all, and it doesn't have any effect on the DSP available in a preset.
archisc
Phil, that's the setting I was referring to. I use AES/EBU output to L2T. There is a difference between each sample rate settings. I have been told that sample rate affects the DSP as the machine needs to scan more. I seems to get better result with 96khz and I just wonder what people use. Given I only do live not recordings mostly.

I actually don't think that the sample rate parameter has any effect on that output when it's used as an L6 Link connection. I believe that L6 Link is fixed at 24 bit / 48 kHz. archisc
Phil, The difference is very noticeable comparing 44 vs 48 vs 96. 96 was a big jump. That's why I am confused.
