Stereo volume pedal in fx loop Pod HD500

I would like to add a stereo volume pedal to my set-up, with the pedal in the fx loop, placed after the amp and mixer on the hd500. What pedal would work? I currently have the opportunity to buy a EB 6165 with 500 Ohm resistance.

(A question on the side; the volume pedal I currently use is an EB VP JR and when I use in the HD500's fx loop, its volume is either off in heel position, or fully on, after a slight tilt. Is this due to the resistance of this pedal or is it broken?)

Thanks

That's a 500K pedal made for a passive guitar. The intended guitar would be one loaded with Humbuckers that has 500K pots in it...A 250K pedal would be more in line with a single coil guitar like a strat....But it does not matter so much if you like what it does.

Since you are wanting to put this pedal in an active (buffered) circuit, it would seems like the 25K pedal (6181) would be the way to go...10K would probably be fine too....It's all about the taper in these things...Linear taper will give you an off/on little graduation...Audio taper is what you want and that varies by who makes the pedal....good luck...

My suggestion would be if you want to change volume without affecting the drive and not using an FX slot, is try assigning the amp Channel Vol parameter to the expression pedal...That works great for me...and you can change the range to whatever you want with no pot noise or signal loss...
