jackbutler68
......but I was hoping there would be a way to set the xlr outputs to a fixed volume level while still being able to control the unbalanced outputs with the volume knob. I would love to be able to adjust my stage volume without affecting the volume sent to the FOH mixer. Is this possible? It seems like it would be a simple thing to do and also something that most people could use. And just for the record, I purchase my Helix just last week but I love it so far. I have been playing through the same rig for 25 years and decided it was time to update my gear....lol. So far I couldn't be happier with the Helix. :) Thanks
spikey
Im not sure about this, but Im thinking that you can't change the output of the mains separately ... But you could send the unbalanced pair to say an amp like the Firehawk 1500, and use its volume for that pair, and then send the XLR pair to the FOH or DAW and control that pair... Anyone? silverhead
In the Global Settings Ins/Outs Page 3 the third knob allows you to select the Volume Knob Controls. Use this to select which output(s) you want the device master volume knob to control. You can choose to control only the 1/4" outputs with the knob. Then construct a signal flow that sends the same signal to two output blocks assigned to the XLR and 1/4" outputs respectively. Set the XLR output level to the fixed level you desire, and control the 1/4" using the volume knob. EDIT: See the Templates setlist, preset 1C Super Serial for an example of sending a signal to two outputs.
jackbutler68
Thank you. I looked through the global settings but I must have missed it. I will check it out when I get home this evening.
