ddufour
I have several patches that I either downloaded or copied right from the Helix. I prefer to use Stompbox mode and only have 1 controller to boost the volume for solos. A lot of these patches are already using several controllers. I read in the manual how to remove all the controller assignments but they don't go away. I am going to menu, control assign, action button, pressing clear all controllers, pressing OK. They are all still there. How do I remove them? Thanks Dan
PeterHamm
Easiest way... go to the block that has controllers you want to disengage... select the next effect up and then go back down. controller control is GONE... BUT you have to re-set to the settings you want... so maybe write them down first.
TexLefty65
Are you perhaps referring to Footswitch Assignments - such as the assigned footswitches you see in most presets that toggle an FX block On/Off? Note that those are different than Controller Assignments, which is a set of two (Min & Max) values you can assign to a FS or a range of values to a pedal. Only these Controller Assignments are removed when you use the Action button - Clear All Controllers function, and this works on my Helix (fw v.1.10). I don't believe there is an equivalent function to "Clear All FS Assignments" but that could be a handy feature to have! I think you need to manually go to Menu - FS Assign and set each current FS assignment's Footwitch knob to "None" if you want to clear the FS Assignment. ddufour
I am referring to footswitch assignments that turn on and off effects. I will try your suggestion when I get home. It is driving me crazy and slowing down my efforts of getting this pedal gig ready. I was originally going to use a second patch next to whatever patch I was using, but with the amp volume turned up louder for solo's but as someone else had written about, there is a definite half a second of silence switching between 2 patches. Just turning effects on and off seems transparent.. Thanks Dan
TexLefty65
OK - you can also configure FS Assignments using the Helix editor app. If you have a lot of FS customizing you need to do, that would make it a lot faster and easier! If you are trying to configure some of your presets to have more variations (to avoid the alternative of creating an additional preset, for example) then you might want to check out configuring Controller Assignments too. This can be pretty useful, such as to set two different Mix levels or two different tempos for your Delay. Just assign a Controller to a footswitch and configure the Min & Max values that you want for each of the parameters. This way you can change a bunch of settings via FS without leaving the preset. You can do this stuff in the Helix app too.
ddufour
I tried to do it with the editor software but I didn't know what I was doing. :-(
