  1. Sending CC#69 with values 0 - 7 works for me to load individual Helix Native snapshots 1 - 8 from my external hardware controller (I'm in Cubase 9.5 on Mac). It sounds like you may be sending a MIDI CC toggle type message if a 2nd press of your footswitch is switching it to snapshot 8 every time (that is, if using a MIDI Toggle message, the 2nd press is sending a value of 127, and any value of 7 - 127 will recall snapshot 8. Therefore, you want to use a straight MIDI CC type message only).
  2. Hi Peter - If you are using Logic's File - Project Settings - Synchronization - MIDI tab - MIDI Clock options, they are not global. So my first guess would be that you need to go activate these settings in the 2nd project, and be sure to save the project with it active if you want to remain that way.
  3. Are you sure your EXP2 was not also assigned to control another block's parameter? Note that by default EXP2 is auto assigned when you insert a Volume block, so if you have a Volume block in your preset, then you might be adjusting the Volume at the same time with EXP2. I tried your steps and added only an Amp block + a stock cab + an IR (with Allure IR loaded in it), and then assigned EXP2 to the stock cabs Mic Model selection parameter. If I bypass the stock cab, I hear a brief "dropout" in my guitar signal whenever I adjust the EXP2 pedal as it loads a different Mic model for the bypassed stock cab (as expected I suppose) but I don't hear it affect the tone at all.
  4. Interesting - I never noticed this with my Helix on Windows 10, but I see the same 2 options only as well for 16 bit at 44100 or 96000Hz only. I do see 16 bit and 24 bit 44.1k and 48k options for other audio interfaces (including a few older Line 6 USB devices). But... I actually wonder if any of the common Windows apps (iTunes, Win Media Player, Groove Music, browser playback, etc.) are even utilizing 24 bit for playback. My guess is that these apps are just operating at 16 bit anyway, and possibly also just at 44,100 Hz via sample rate conversion regardless what your source music files actually are. (And in most cases, the source music files are likely 16 bit 44,100 Hz anyway if they are ripped from CD or MP3s, correct? Unless you are playing your own recorded music that was saved at higher rate WAV files.)
  5. Actually, I'm thinking this behavior may be intentional. If you consider another scenario where you are pasting the All Commands from the Cmd Ctr to another preset where the same footswitches might already include existing Bypass or Controller assignments and customized FS labels - I think in this case you might NOT want the Paste All action to replace the existing custom labels on those footswitches. So, in this scenario, I suppose you could consider the Paste All behavior as "correct" since it does not destroy any existing customized settings (it just adds the pasted Cmd Ctr assignments, and keeps the Bypass/Controller along with their existing customized labels on common footswitches).
  6. Ya know, this is really sounding more like the problems a few folks are having where a few presets do not import correctly after the update, is that maybe the problem is created when the preset (or bundle or setlist) is exported. If you have a number of custom presets that you definitely don't want to lose, it might be worth re-importing them again in 2.01 BEFORE you do a Reset and BEFORE you do the Helix app and flash update, and see if they actually import OK on 2.01. At least that would tell if the problem is happening from the export. If so, maybe then you could try exporting again and see if it's a random error or if maybe some preset configurations just don't export correctly for some reason. I have only seen this on one preset myself (it opened as totally empty, except for my saved title on 2.10), and it was not an important preset fortunately. But it was interesting that I went back to the 2.01 Helix app and flash version and that preset opened the same way with 2.01. So, that seems to point to the problem not being with the 2.10 update, but more likely the 2.01 export, and something to do with this particular preset configuration. The preset did have a split path, and I believe I had used both main paths. Unfortunately i cannot recall if I had Snapshots or other details about it though.
  7. My first guess is that you need to go into the Helix Global Settings - MIDI settings and turn the MIDI Thru off, to keep the incoming MIDI looping back into Cubase.
  8. Bryan - I think that if you change the "MIDI PC Send/Receive" option to "Off" (found in Global Settings - MIDI Tempo) this may solve the problem. With this off I believe no MIDI messages are sent out from Helix when changing presets.
  9. Something does not seem right there Glen. If I try the exact same AC30 settings as you mention in your initial post (before adding the +13dB boost), my guitar in - USB 1/2 record levels peaks at -6dB or so in the Cubase recorded track with a firm strum, which is right about where I'd want it. Are you sure you are not padding the input of your guitar into Helix, or some other block reducing the levels somewhere? I've never had to add anything near an additional +13dB boost beyond just my Amp/Cab block levels.

    macOS Sierra ?

I've been using the Sierra Beta for a few weeks now (on a separate, bootable external hard disc) and I have not run into any problems at all with the Helix edit app. Logic Pro X is still fine with Helix for me too.
  11. To delete Tones - just like deleting things in other iOS apps, if you swipe left on any tone within your Tones list you'll get the DELETE button. I think it is expected that the app will allow you to create more than one Tone with the same name, but it should warn you before you do that. (I'm using the latest Mobile POD 2 version and iOS 9). If I choose Save As for a Tone and then don't edit the name to be different, I see it pop up a warning telling me it is a duplicate name, but will allow me to "save anyway" and create another Tone with the same name. You should have the chance to change the name if you want. If you just choose Save instead of Save As, then it looks to me like it overwrites the current Tone instead of creating a duplicate by the same name. Are you seeing something different? Hope that helps.
  12. Hi Guitarmaniac - I am curious, since I usually use a split path in most of my own presets, but I have not run into this problem (and don't want to !). I am using a Mac for the Helix editor and am on the latest 2.01 version for both the software and the firmware on my Helix (not the Rack). A few questions about your setup... Are you on Mac or Windows? Are you using the latest editor and firmware? Do have the Helix Rack or floor pedal version? Are you doing anything specific when you create the split? For example, most often I insert two IRs and drag one IR bock down to create a split path, and then often pan the "merge" block so that the IRs are panned left and right a bit. Are using specific FX in your split, or changing settings on the Split or Merge blocks? Thanks!
  13. I'd try moving your mouse to a completely different USB port on the computer if possible (assuming it is a USB mouse). I'd also see if there's a newer driver update for your video card. It could also be that a recent Windows update changed some things resulting in a problem. It sounds like your computer is struggling to display your mouse cursor and streaming video at the same time, so it seems related to video and/or video RAM - just a guess, but probably where I'd start troubleshooting!
  14. I've not tried it myself, but wouldn't this be possible now using MIDI? I saw the manual shows a set of MIDI CCs to control looper functions - CC 6, value 0-63 triggers looper Stop. I suppose you could get a simple external MIDI switcher with a few footswitches and dedicate it to controlling looper functions. I think I saw some guys posting here that do this now, which seems like a nice option since it frees up your Helix footswitches to do other things.
  15. Well, if the firmware update was successful (Helix powers up and all sounds correct) then I would first suspect a driver issue. With Helix not USB connected, try uninstalling the Line 6 Helix Driver, then download it and install again - or if you run the Line 6 Updater installer again, it also includes the Helix driver installation. Then try connecting Helix to USB again. Possibly also try a different USB 2 or 3 port on your PC too.
