rob_c
I want to build a guitar using JTV69 innards but I want to combine the volume and tone by using concentric pots. Does anyone know if the JTV69 are 'special' in such a way the would not allow this?? Thanks
snhirsch
The JTV-69 uses ganged pots on a common shaft. Linear taper section for DSP electronics and audio taper for mag pickups. You would have to go to considerable lengths to retain (for example) DSP and mag volume on the outer section of a concentric pot. Doable, but not at all trivial. Charlie_Watt
The pots already serve a dual purpose so ganging them together isn't going to work. You will have to make room for both in your transplant.
rob_c
As I suspected.. many thanks for the confirmation.
