Ascendancy06
Hello everyone, since there is a firmware update (2.0) for the helix, I installed the latest drivers and the latest version of the updater. When I try to login via updater I keep getting the following error message: "http request error" I uninstalled and rebooted a couple of times without success. Has anyone the same issues? Is there a way to fix this? I did no changes to browsers, firewalls or internet connection etc. in ages. I am running windows 7 64bit. The updater was running fine when I did the update for the last firmware. Please help. Thank you!

I know it does not fix the updater for you but alternatively you can download the 2.0 firmware file directly from the Line6 downloads page and then point the Updater to the file on your local file system on your PC instead of having it got out to the net to retrieve it. Charlie_Watt
I highly recommend downloading the file before updating!

Btw, if you are running a firewall or anti-virus software it might be interesting to see if you are still getting the same "http..." error with them turned off momentarily. Depio
Just got this error in Line 6 Updater. Also it is not possible to visit the website 'http://line6[.]com'. What is going on there, Line 6? I am absolutely dissapointed!

Unless you happened to try this right when the site had a momentary outage(try again later) it could be your browser or firewall is preventing you from connecting or you are having login issues. Obviously your login is working since you are posting here, if you haven't already I would retype it into the screen above. If you are trying to upgrade take backups first and then download and unpack the latest HX version, "HX Edit" 2.81 from the download site. Don't try to update your firmware with old HX software. Peter
"HTTP Request error" means, the updater can not connect to line6/internet. (I get this message, when I have internet connectivity problems. Login issues cause a different error message) Check your firewall/anti-virus settings. I think it blocks something. ...and don't forget: 8 hours ago, HonestOpinion said: If you are trying to upgrade take backups first and then download and unpack the latest HX version, "HX Edit" 2.81 from the download site. Depio
Thanks for your reply. That's right, but a few days before, a friend updated his Helix, but now nobody of us can connect via Updated/the website. So I can exclude the firewall/antivirus oder anything else. I think it's a problem of german users, is it? Is it possible to download the FW-Updates via Browser, so I can download it out of Updater and use this in offline-mode? Thanks in advance. Yes, but in order to that, you need to be able to access line6.com, which you clearly can since you were able to post here! ;) Go to Downloads, select your device (Helix, Helix Rack, Helix LT etc) and "Flash Memory" and press go.
