HillsideDeafener
I have the latest firmware 2.0.1 and while editing the Helix I experienced a black screen. I restarted and everything works fine except I notice that randomly when I try to switch to a different preset it won't switch, I have to wait like 5 seconds and then when I hit it again it will switch. I don't think it's a physical problem as all the switches seem to work, it's almost like something is still loading up and I notice the tap tempo light is solid in this "freeze" period where nothing will switch. Once the tap tempo light starts to blink then it will switch if I press on another preset. Seems to me like it's tied somehow to the main display on the Helix. If I got to let's say the Global Settings screen and leave it there then everything switches normally no problems but when I go back to the Preset display then it goes back to the same random footswitching problem. Anybody else experience this or have a solution? Thanks
HillsideDeafener
Update: Still having this problem no matter what screen view I have on the Helix rack unit. I've got 2 gigs this weekend so any help would definitely be appreciated. Thanks, Carlo
PeterHamm
This has happened with me on some beta builds. When I re-installed firmware it went away. Also, sometimes when I turn off JUST the floor unit and back on again, and/or disconnect and re-connect the EXPs. HillsideDeafener
So would I have to re-install firmware for the rack unit itself and then it will re-install for the foot controller or is there a way to re-install for the foot controller just by itself? Thanks so much for the response, I'll also try and disconnect and re-connect the EXPs.

PeterHamm
Not necessarily.I've re-installed firmware and it has not re-updated Control. I think it only updates if there's a mis-match.you MIGHT have to go back one version and then re-install the latest. Not even sure if that will work because I haven't tried it updating Control both times.
