Wammy - how is it work on Helix?

Not sure what you're trying to get it to do as opposed to what it's actually doing, but in general I'll say that the "Mix" parameter is key. At 50% you'll get the harmony side of the Whammy, where you hear your natural guitar signal and the pitch shifted signal together in equal measure. Set to 100% you'll get the Whammy side of the Whammy pedal, where all you hear is the shifted signal. Hope that can help!

Just read your post again and it seems like maybe your difficulty is with how to actually assign parameters to the expression pedal? If that is the case, press and hold the knob for the parameter in question and an assignment menu will come up. Select the correct expression pedal and set the parameters you want to move between. Done! Again, hope that's helpful!

It'll help to think about this more generally. Instead of it being a Whammy pedal model, think of it as a general-purpose pitch shifter.

Like any effect, you can select parameters (settings) to be controlled by the expression pedal. To build a whammy effect:

1) Set up a pitch shifter effect

2) Set its Mix to 100%

3) Hold down the parameter knob for the amount of pitch shift (half-steps) and assign it to the expression pedal

4) Set Min to where you want it when the pedal is in heel position (for example, -12 for one octave or -24 for two octaves)

5) Set Max to where you want it when the pedal is in toe position (probably 0 for no shift)

You don't have to do much:

  1. Add a Pitch/Synth > Pitch Wham block.

Adding a Pitch Wham block automatically assigns its Position parameter to EXP 1 and its bypass to the toe switch. If the pedal is currently set to EXP 2, press the hidden toe switch to switch it to EXP 1 and there's your Whammy.
