600 watts max not 1500 watts?!?!?

I thought this bad boy was supposed to be 1500 watts but on the back of the amp it says 600 watts. So, what is the deal there? False advertising or am I missing something here? Can some explain that one to me? 600 watts is still beefy and the most powerful "amp" that I own; so, no complaints, just curious that's all.

Since that label you mentioned is at the AC receptacle,... it looks like that you are

referring to the AC draw from the wall socket. That label is specifying "power requirements"

from the AC Mains from the wall.

It's not the audio output specification, it's the AC mains spec, it allows a max of 600W from the wall.
