BaKuSiN
Hi, I have a question, someone maybe know it. I bought the "Line 6 UX2", but I need to know if the UX2 can work like a mixer. I have to Connect two pcs and get the sounds of both of them on one headset. I have a microphone connected in the UX2, but the sound I only need it for one computer. If the UX2 can't do it, what I need for that? Sorry for my english, and Thanks!
Triryche
The UX2 is not really made for that. But you could run the analog out(s) of the UX2 to the Line In of the 2nd pc and plug your headset into the 2nd pc. The better solution is to buy a mixer or headphone mixer. BaKuSiN
Hi Triryche, Thanks very much for the answer, the headphone mixer I think is perfect! <3 <
fflbrgst
I don't think a headphone mixer will work - most have only one input. An audio mixer would work, but how about taking the audio out from the 2nd computer (using its built-in soundcard), and running that to one of the inputs on the UX2? Yeah, a lot of headphone mixers are one in and multi out, but I have seen some with multi stereo ins, but I agree, a regular mixer is likely a better solution, and it never hurts to have a mixer. If the (s)he is using a mic with the UX2, then the only other inputs available would be mono, the other mic or guitar. Other than getting sound from 2 pcs to one headset, not sure what the details are of the objective, but sounds interesting.
BaKuSiN
Hi again, Since you told me about the Headphone mixer, I've been looking it, but I have a lot of questions when I found one. A question, I could capture the audio of the 2nd computer with the UX2 and hear it in the main pc? This is the situation: I have two computers, and a Phantom Microphone, and I use the microphone for in the main computer, but I need hear the sound produced by both computers. The problem when I'm looking for the mixer to buy is the conection, Im not sure what I need. My headphones have conection minijack/USB. I could show you a screen with the conectors of the both computers if you want.
Triryche
Are you saying the headphones have 2 connections, an 1/8" mini TRS jack and USB, or just a mini USB?
fflbrgst
I didn't follow the bit about the headphone connection, either, but assume he can plug it into the UX2! use a stereo 1/8" plug to mono 1/4" plug adapter/cable (use whatever adapters/cables you can find to do this), to go from computer #2's audio out to one of the guitar inputs on the UX2.
