onurb59
Hi all, I'm a happy new helix owner, kind of newbe here, so please excuse me if this question has been asked and answered elsewhere! I play in a top 50 cover band, and I would like to emulate a tone sweep fx with the built in expression pedal. For some patches, I want my tone both with high and low cut with the exp pedal on the heel, and a full range tone (kind of bypassed filter) toe. Think about an old "low fi" telephone tone, something like that, those fx are frequently used in modern music. I've found the way to get either high cut or low cut, but not both at the same time with a simple sweep... Any tip or idea welcome! :)
MusicLaw
Define one, two, or several, EQ, Filter, and other FX Blocks. One for each FX. Assign each Block to the same EXP Controller. You can also have any combination of the FXs' values increase or decrease (in different directions), as desired, with the treadle's movement. Okay, I tried to do that with the low and high pass filter block, which is appropriate for this purpose IMO. The high pass goes from low to high freq when you go from heel to toe, but I can't at the same time get the low pass going from maximum cut to zero cut heel to toe. Does it makes sence? Is it possible to do that? Ah, and thanks for your reply!
lawrence_Arps
use the mix control. Set up the filters so that they give you the very lofi sound on full 100% mix then assign the pedal so that toe down is 0% mix!
