hideout
This is for all those with FRFR systems that are basically designed to be disassembled for repairs. Most of these speakers are held together by screws and I've found that they do loosen after a couple of years. Heard a muted buzz on one of my JBL EON610s and decided to pull the speaker grills off and tighten all the bolts and screws behind the grill as well as the ones on the back panel. Goodbye buzz and the speakers do sound a bit... tighter. Lol * Remember not to over tighten too.
amsdenj
My father told me that the best way to be sure you've tightened a bolt as much as you can is to tighten it until it just strips the threads, then back it off a quarter of a turn. I take no responsibility for anyone who follows this advice.
MusicLaw
A drop of Locktite (use the appropriate version for the materials) can do wonders.
